World press photo (WPP), launched in the Netherlands in
1957 ,is considered to be the most authoritative events in the
International professional news photography competition.
世界新闻摄影（WPP）于1957年在荷兰发起，被公认为是
国际专业新闻摄影比赛中最具权威性的赛事。
Initially, three Dutch photographer launched this
competition.With the increasing influence, WPP has become the
crown in the minds of journalists worldwide.
最初，三位荷兰摄影师发起了这个比赛。随着影响力的与日
俱增，WPP已经成为全球新闻记者心目中的皇冠。
WPP include the following items：Breaking news, General
news ,Newsmakers, Sports action, Contemporary hot spots, Daily
life, Portrait, Arts , Natural.It works have been human witness of the
times and history.
WPP包括以下类别：突发新闻、一般新闻、新闻人物、体
育运动、全球热点、日常生活、人物肖像、艺术、自然等共九类。
它的的作品，见证了这个时代，述说着那些历史。
There are many outstanding photos to record the real world
from 1957 to the present.Among them, including many Chinese
works. Art belongs to the world.
1957年至今，许多优秀的照片记录下了这个真实的世界。
其中，也包括许多中国的作品。艺术没有国界，艺术属于整个世
界。
The 55th World Press Photo prize-winning works were
announced in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. February 10, 2012。This
world is so wonderful, let us capture the breath of the world by the
55th WPP.
