1. North points up on a map. 北在地图上指示上方。
这里point与up连用,表示“向上指”。point可与副词up, down, out, right,
left等连用,表示不同的含义。 point north 指向北边;point right and left指手画脚;point out指出。
如:I pointed out her mistake.我指出了她的错误。
2. It’s southeast of China.它在中国的东南方。
southeast of China 表示“中国的东南部”。英语中表示方位的词north,
south, west, east, southeast, northwest等还可用作副词。
如:Which country is east of China? 哪个国家在中国的东方?
3. So do the directions on a map.地图上的方向也是。
在英语中so表示“也如此”时,主谓一般用倒装形式。
如:He gets up at six every day. So do I. 他每天六点起床。我也是。
He can fly a plane. So can I.他能开飞机。我也能。
4. That can help you remember.那可以帮助你记住方向的顺序。
help sb do sth表示“帮助某人做某事”,后面作宾语补足语的不定式可带to,也可不带to。
如:Please come along and help me carry the big box upstairs.
请过来帮我把这个大箱子抬上楼。
5. Thank you for inviting me! 谢谢你邀请我!
Thank you for…意为“为……而感谢你”,其中Thank you相当于Thanks,for为介词,其后应接名词、代词或动名词作宾语,表示感谢的内容或原因,即Thanks/Thank you for sth.或 Thanks/Thank you for doing sth.

This lesson is about Christmas. Through the study, the students can understand and
be able to describe the relevant knowledge about Christmas. It also includes the usage
of “be going to”.
2. The analysis of the students
Most students have the basic abilities, such as learning new words by themselves,
talking about a given topic and reading the material of the same level as the text. They
can also use computers freely. They have learned some Chinese and Western festivals,
but they have some difficulties in understanding Christmas Day in the real situation.
