一、教学目标

语言知识目标

1.学生能听、说、认读本课的重点单词:the British Museum, the London

Eye, wheel, wonderful, understand, postcard。

2. 学生能正确使用动词过去式,能利用What did you do? Where did you

go?询问别人过去做的事情,并能利用动词过去式熟练表达过去所做的事情。

语言能力目标

1.学生能运用What did you do? Where did you go ?询问过去发生的事情,并能利用动词过去式熟练表达过去所做的事情。

2.学生能运用所学的语言知识进行熟练的交际,并能应用于日常生活之中。

情感、策略和文化目标

培养学生学习的兴趣,鼓励学生积极合作,引导学生了解西方的名胜古迹以及中西文化的差异,培养学生跨文化意识。

二、教学重难点

1.句型:What did you do at the weekend?

Where did you go?

2.熟练灵活地运用动词过去式描述过去发生的事情。

三、学情分析

五年级的学生已有两年的英语基础,对英语学习非常感兴趣,用英语交流的愿望也很强烈,同时他们思维活跃,参与活动的积极性极高。但学生的读写能力还有待提高,需要教师及时指导。

四、教学准备:单词卡片、图片、点读笔、多媒体课件等

五、教学过程

Step 1.Warm up

1.Greetings and free talks.

2.Review past tense:

do go is visit like send

did went was visited liked sent

3.Sing a song 《Where did you go? 》

(设计意图:导入环节中,教师利用PPT课件呈现已学动词过去式,通过连线的方式快速考察学生对动词过去式的掌握情况。利用PPT课件播放Module1已学歌曲《Where did you go?》营造了轻松、亲切、自然的英语学习氛围,激发了学生学习兴趣;并且由歌曲《Where did you go?》引出本课的重点句型,复习动词的过去式,为后面的教学环节做好铺垫。)

Step2.Presentation

1.Learn new words:

T:Do you like travelling?Now let’s travel together.Are you happy?

以猜猜看的游戏展示大本钟、大英博物馆、伦敦眼的图片,教学生词the British

Museum, the London Eye. (呈现单词卡片)反复纠正发音。 T: And at the weekend, my pen- friend in England sent me a postcard. I

bring it here. 展示明信片,教学生词postcard.

T: There are some English words in the postcard. Do you understand? 教授understand.

4. T: My friend told me the London Eye is a big wheel, it’s wonderful.

教授生词wheel, wonderful.

T: The London Eye is wonderful. Do you know the Great Wall? How about

the Great Wall? (The Great Wall is wonderful ,too.)

5.Let’s play a game.

(设计意图:在学习新词时,充分运用PPT课件为学生呈现英国的一些名胜古迹的图片,让学生在游戏中练习单词,激发学生兴趣并让学生简单易学。)

2.Practise new words:

Let’s have a chant:

Big Ben, Big Ben.

It’s wonderful.

The London Eye, the London Eye.

It’s a big wheel.

The British Museum, the British Museum.

I visited them all.

(设计意图:运用PPT呈现朗朗上口的chant韵句,让学生巩固所学单词,这个韵句既巩固了新词,又初步感知了课文。)

3.Learn the text.

1. T: In fact, my friend Amy visited lots of places with Sam and Lingling

at the weekend. One day, she phoned Daming, talking about her trip. Let’s

listen.

2. At first , look at the screen.

Questions:

1)Where did Amy , Lingling and Sam go?

2)Did Lingling like the London Eye?

3)What did Lingling like best?

3. Listen to the tape and think over.

4. Answer the questions.

5. Listen and repeat,then do some practice.

6. Read the text in roles.

(设计意图:运用多媒体播放课文,为学生营造了真实的语言环境。通过大量的听说训练,有效地刺激学生的思维,培养了学生良好的语感和节奏感,提高了学生的阅读能力。)

Step3.Practise and Expanding

T: Just now we talk about Amy’s weekend. Now let’s talk about your weekend.教师用PPT课件呈现句型,请同桌进行口语交流并展示。 For example:

A: Where did you go at the weekend?

B: I went to the supermarket.

A: What did you do at the weekend?

B: I played basketball.

(设计意图:在知识巩固和拓展训练时,运用PPT课件呈现句型,请同桌进行口语交流并展示,巩固本课所学重点“What did you do at the weekend? Where did you

go? 引导学生运用所学知识了解同学周末的活动,培养了运用语言的能力;并且将语言教学融入生活体验中,为学生创设真实的语言环境,让他们在交流中体验学习英语的成就感。)

Step 4. Summary

先请同学自己总结本节课所学内容,然后教师出示一首韵句巩固重点内容。

Step5.Homework

Make a survey

Name Where did you go? What did you do?
