知识目标:

1. 能够掌握本单元所有四会单词。

2. 能够用相关句型描述五个国家的特征。

能力目标:

能够运用英语对这五个国家进行介绍,把所学英语知识运用到实际生活中来。

情感目标:

1. 激发学生学习兴趣,增强自信心,并培养学生团结协作精神。

2. 拓展学生的文化视野,并培养学生的爱国主义精神。

学生和内容分析:

五年级学生已经有一定的英语基础知识,他们英语学习积极性高。这是一节复习课,相关知识都已学过,本节课只需要进行归纳总结和巩固提高。

1. 通过小组合作学习的方式,培养学生协作精神。

2. 创设真实情景,使英语生活化,培养学生综合语言运用能力。

教学过程:

Step1: Warming-up and revision

课前热身

T: Class begins!

Monitor: Stand up!

【设计说明】此项举动已伴随学生走过三个春秋,使学生每节课都以崭新的面貌和十足的信心进入课堂。

T: There are many countries in the world. Today we’ll study our country

and the English-speaking countries again. Let’s begin our lesson:

Step2: Presentation and practice

T: In this unit we have learned the names of the countries, the flags and

the languages and so on. Today we are going to play a game to review

. If you can pass it,you will be the winners.

【设计说明】本环节设计了闯关游戏,通过五关复习国家的五个特征,旨在充分调动学生的积极性,时刻留有悬念,使整个课堂充满新鲜感,富有挑战性。

Round One: Name of the country

were held in its capital city. Do you know it?

Ss: It’s China. (贴地图)

T: Yes, China is great! Let’s come on for China!

Ss: Come on, China! (手势)

T: Show the country of the U.K.

S1: It’s the U.K. (快速抢答)

【设计说明】老师叙述国家的特征,让学生猜出国家名称并拼写,再把地图贴在黑板上。学生能够形象直观地了解各国位置,在教授“China”时让学生喊出为中国加油的口号,适时进行爱国主义教育。

Round Two: languages

T: In China, we speak _____ .

Ss: Chinese.

T: What do they speak in the U.K.?

Ss: They speak English.

T: Let’s play a game. Please pass the teddy bear one by one and all the

students ask the question:"What do they speak?" The student who has the

teddy bear answers the question.

【设计说明】教师随意指地图上的国家,学生传小熊,口号停止,拿到小熊的同学回答问题,这不但检查了学生的掌握情况,也充分调动了学生热情。

it is. Take out your flags. Please show it quickly .OK?

Ss: OK.

T: Listen carefully. This flag is red and white. It has a leaf. Do you

know it?

Ss: It’s Canada’s flag.

T: It’s red, white and blue. It has many stars and stripes.

Ss:It’s the U.S. flag.

T: Do you know more about the flags? Can you tell me how many stars are

there in this flag? Why?

S1: Fifty stars.

T: Yes, because there are fifty states in the U.S.

T: Do you know what flag it is inside it?

S2: It’s the U.K.'s flag.

T: Yes, because it was once a British colony (殖民地).

T: Look at China’s flag. The big star stands for_____.

S3: 中国共产党。

T: Yes. It stands for the Chinese Communist Party.

【设计说明】:教师叙述国旗特征,让学生猜国家,并把自己手中相应的国旗展示出来, 然后对国旗的相关知识加以拓展,在培养学生听力的同时拓展了学生的文化视野。

【设计说明】展示各国风景名胜,采用不同形式让学生猜出名胜或国家名称;然后自动播放各国风景名胜,学生以组为单位快速说出相关句子。此环节检查了学生对已学知识的掌握情况。
