智能工作伴侣思维接近人类移动快、能躲障碍、会交流———智能机器人逐渐走入人们的工作和生活，而且随着技术的发展，不论是行动还是“思维”，智能机器人都在慢慢向人类靠近。
11月30日开展的东京2005年国际机器人展上，日立制作所展出了一款可以协助人们工作的机器人，名叫“EMIEW”，是“Ex-cellent Mobility and Int eractive Existence as Workmate”（高移动性智能工作伴侣）的缩写。
它可以灵活地回避障碍物，并且在相隔一米左右的距离内与人自由的交流。
这使其抢占了广泛的应用领域，更让它成为将来与人共存、配合人类活动的机器人的先驱。
“腿脚麻利”，移动速度快“EMIEW”采用了一种名为倒立式的双轮移动装置。
这种装置不仅体积小，而且支持快速移动，让它可以在与人相同的空间内，保持与人的同步移动。
其内置传感器可感应自身的倾斜程度，调整车轮方向和速度，让它保持平稳地移动和停止。
“EMIEW”的最大速度相当于人快走时的速度———6公里/小时。
你可以边走边跟它交谈而不必担心它跟不上你的脚步，甚至来个急刹车，它也可以迅速地反应过来。
至于行进时遇到拐弯更是不在话下，因为它可以通过身体的左右倾斜移动重心，机敏地转换方向。
这一点是该系列人型机器人所没有的。
“机智敏捷”能自己躲开障碍“EMIEW”可以自动探知包括非静止物体在内周围障碍物的存在，然后利用身体内搭载的传感器判断这些障碍物的位置与行动。
再通过一些计算，也就是人类的“思考”，最终设计一条避免冲突的路线。
这是在实际生活中与人共存、协作配合中必不可少的一点。
“善于沟通”与人交流很自如为了让它自由地与人交流，研发人员在它身上安装了不少视觉传感器和听觉传感器，让人不必借助特殊道具，就可以在与其相距一米左右的地方跟它交流。
听声辨人的功能，令“EMIEW”更具有“人情味”。
它用各式听觉传感器分析捕捉到的声音间的差别寻找声源，然后视觉传感器锁定声源（比如确认说话人的脸）。
