Section A(1a-2d) 一、教学目标 a.知识目标: 1,能掌握下列词汇:favorite,subject,P.E.,science,music,math,Chinese,geography,history,why,because,Monday,Friday,Saturday 2,能掌握以下句型: ①-What’s your favorite subject? -My favorite subject is science. ②-What’s your favorite day? -It’s Monday. ③-Why do you like P.E.? -Because it’s fun. ④-How’s your day? -It’s OK. b:能力目标:(1)培养学生的英语听说能力。(2)引导学生运用所学的语言在日常生活中进行正常的交流。 C:情感目标:培养学生大胆说英语的能力,而不是只会读写。 3,学情分析:本班学生大多数在小学学过英语,基础比较好,在学习新单词的时候会较轻松些重点学习geography, history.所以教学重点放在句型操练上。 二,教学重难点 重点: 1.能掌握本节单词和句型。 2.掌握学校科目的相关词汇及部分周几的表达方式。 难点: 1.学习询问和谈论别人或自己喜欢的学科并给出理由。(难点) 2.了解由what,who和why引导的特殊疑问句的构成和使用。(难点) 三、教学准备 录音机,PPT 四、教学 Step 1: Warm-up 1. Greet students as usual and check the homework. 2. Teach students the new words : favorite, subject. 3. Revise the words of colors and then get students to talk about “What’s your favorite color?” in pairs. 4. Revise the words of different sports and then get the students to discuss “What’s your favorite sport?” 5. Present the words of subjects and then get students to discuss “What’s your favorite subject? Step 2: Presentation 1. Teach activity 1a (1) Lead students to read the words in 1a. (2) Ask students to look at the pictures on P71 and match the words with the pictures. In this procedure, students will learn the names of some subjects and learn to ask and talk about their favorite subjects. T: How many subjects do you have now? What are they? S: We have nine subjects. They are Chinese, math, English, PE, music, art, politics, history, and geography. T: Now please open your books at Page 71. Look at the words on the left. We have six words about subjects. Please read them. And we have six pictures marked with a, b, c, d, e and f. Try to match the words and pictures. Encourage students to say something about the pictures and do the match work. T: What subject is it in picture a? S: It’s math. T: Write “a” on the line next to the word “math”. Clear? Go on with the others in the same way. Then check the answers with students. 2. Teach activity 1b (1) Ask students to listen and circle the subjects they hear in 1a. (2) Play the recording and students try to circle the subjects. (3) Invite some students to tell their answers. (4) Check the correct answers with the whole class. 3. Teach activity 1c (1) Lead students to read the example conversations. A: What's your favorite subject? B: My favorite subject is art. (2) Ask students to practice the conversations. (3) Ask students to work with their partners and make their own conversations. (4) Invite some pairs to act out their conversations. 4. Guessing game Ask Ss to guess if he or she likes the subject. Ask one student to help you. Show the cards you have prepared. One side is about the subject, Show it to all of the Ss. The other side is about the description . Only show it to the student who stands in front of the class. Ask Ss what her favorite subject is and why. Ask Ss to guess with the adjectives they’ve learnt . eg. fun, exciting, relaxing, interesting. Then show some subjects with a crying face. Ask Ss to guess why he /she doesn’t like it.
Step 3: Practice 1. Teach activity 2a (1) Ask students to read the sentences and make sure they know the meaning. Ask Ss to look at the picture, guess what they are talking about. Ask Ss to read the sentences together. Then play the recording, ask Ss to listen for the first time. Then play it again, ask Ss to listen and put the conversation in order. Ask Ss to practice their own conversation in pairs. (2) Ask students to listen to the tape and put the sentences in order. (3) Check the correct answers with the whole class. 2. Teach activity 2b (1) Invite two students to read the subjects and adjectives respectively. (2) Ask students to listen and match the subjects they hear with the descriptions. (3) Play the recording for a second time and ask students to check their answers. (4) Check the correct answers with the whole class. 3. Teach activity 2c (1) Ask students to work with their partners and make their own conversations. (2) Give students an example. A: What's your favorite subject? B: My favorite subject is P.E.
