新托福满分作文范文30篇2011-8-2 Independent WritingDoes modern technology help students learn more information and learn it more quickly?Marvelous as it looks at first sight, modern technology does not help stu dents learn information at a greater speed and with higher efficiency in most cases; or it could work towards the oppositedirection which led st udents to lose their initiative to learn and explore.First of all, one property of modern technology is latently harmful to any learning mind –it distracts. One thing we feel about when we are sear ching for information online is that the internet, as an outstanding examp le of modern technology and even regarded as the innovator of educatio n, provides us with not only relevant results to make use of, but also ex ternal links to click. More than once I turned on my computer to check school library for resources, but ended up watching Youtube videos. In t his case, computer as a representative of modern technology plays a ne gative role in learning information. We do acquire more information with t he convenient tool, yet most of them are irrelevant and in the end procr astinating would lower our learning. Also, students would easily become disoriented in the huge sea of infor mation. Although modern technology could equip us with easy access to information, the huge amount of resources would actually leave us disc ombobulated. Therefore, it is only we possess information more quickly r ather than we learn it more quickly. An illustrating exampleis my experi ence with a HK digital library which stores almost all the books I desire. At first I enjoyed downloading them from the database, however, one m onth later I ended up with hundreds of books stored in my hardware yet none of them finished or ever clicked.Furthermore, modern technology gives students an illusion that informatio n and real knowledge is easy to learn –just by clicking mouse or watch ing videos. But in fact this forms only the first step towards useful infor mation and effective learning, as learning of any kind requires full conce ntration and interactive thinking, which are almost absent in the process of popular e-learning experience. To summarize, modern technology does not help students learn more inf ormation and learn it more quickly, though it does make access to infor mation and resources much more easily. The popular e-learningstill lack s the concentration, depth, and interaction that are the hallmark of traditi onal ways of educating and learning.2011-8-10TPO Independent writing:我们生活的时代比父辈们年轻时生活的时代更好还是更坏?It seems that people always have a desire to compare: am I prettier tha n others? Are we living in a better age? Or, as the question goes, is ou r life easier and more enjoyable than it was several decades ago?I wo uld say no, as I have witnessed the struggle and paradox of our genera tion.First of all, we are now living in an age of revolution with no previous h uman experience that could be referred to. Living in such a fast-changin g world would not be easy and comfortable at all; with everything keeps changing, everyone has to move fast in order to catch up with the maj ority. However, people were much more stable and care-free when our g randparents were children; they did not have to learn a second language in order to get a better job, or read a lot in order to get informed. Yet in our age, these are supposed to be theresponsibility of young people.Another discomfort of our age is that we are experiencing interpersonal alienation. With the development of communication technology, people in fact become alienated with friends and relatives since they could be so easily accessed via phone or email. Too often we feel that few of our f riends are true friends, without the traditional feeling of mutual affection which could only be created by longtime apart. But several decades ago, people treasured their friends and maintained relatively close interperson al relations, which is much more enjoyable than the estrangements we a re experiencing. The last factor that has made our age so uncomfortable is the abusive use of technology. Although it brings much convenience, it essentially ch anges human –we are no longer the master of tools, but instead the sl aves of devices. We rush to metro station in order to catch an early trai n, sit in front of radioactive computers all day long in order to get our w ork done, and stay in air-conditioned rooms all summer without experien cing the natural changes outside thick cement walls. Several decades ag o, people could still live closer to nature and make rational use of mode rn technology, which to me is theessence of human living experience. However, the comparison between different times is itself ridiculous. The criteria could not be easily determined, and opinions are highly personal. Anyway, we have a longer life span, more advanced medical facilities, and easier traffic than our grandparent when they were children, and we should treasure the present experience. Imagination of the past might o nly be nostalgia –if I ask my grandparents the same question, they mig ht as well say that our life is much better than the past generations. Who knows? As long as the world is still peaceful, life at any time would n ot become too difficult to handle.2011/8/14Independent writing:Most advertisements make products much better than they really are.I strongly agree to the statement that most advertisements makesthe pr oducts presented much better than they really are, and points below sup ports my idea.An essential reason concerns the nature of advertising –advertisers, in most cases, would only make products seem better than they really are, not the other way around. Since the ultimate aim of advertising is to pe rsuade people into buying something, and people would natually be attra cted by something that is desirable rather than repellent, advertisements are certainly made to display a moreattractive image of products. Theref ore, customers would first be graviated towards the virtual product that is somewhat dishonestlypictured by advertisers, then desire to own it, an d eventually purchase it. In this way, the desire of consumers is satisfie d, the purpose of production achieved, and the advertising process comp leted. But the norm that a “good” product is advertised as a “better” one is oft en challenged or even reversed –that is, unscrupulous businessmen ma ke use of advertising to sell inferior products, which raises a moral quest ion. For example, my mother was once attracted by a commercial of a encyclopedia which was claimed to be the one and only complete versio n of several ancient Chinese documents. She rushed to the shop and b ought this “limited version” at a eye-popping price, and regarded it as on e of the most precious things in our house. However, a few months late r she found the same version was sold in bulk at another shop at an u nbelievably low price, which annoyed her for quite a long time. We can l earn from the experience that we should not always trust the advertisem ents that are apparently exaggerating products, and keep alert in the sw arm of television commercials. However, the notion that “advertisement always make us disappointed” s ometimes results from consumers’ unrealistic expectation of products. Ad vertising easily makes people to imagine “perfect” products which are not realistic at all, but consumers would rather keep this unreasonable hope. Then they would be inevitably disappointed by the actual products whic h cannot be so perfect, and attribute the cause to advertising. But it is actually the unrealistic expectation that eclipses any product, because a perfect image is absolutely subjective and could not even be realized. For example, I once signed up for a group tour toLantaoIslandinHong Kon g, being attracted by the beautiful landscape pictures posted in the adve rtisements. But later on in the journey I was disappointed because actual scenery was never as attractive as what I had expected to see. Theref ore, an unrealistic expectation is to be avoided in making any buying de cision. In conclusion, advertisements do make products seem much better than they really are, as a result of commercial propaganda and our unrealistic hope imposed on products. A better solution would be that both consu mers and sellers keep a more realistic point of view, and avoid unreaso nable selling or buying behavior.2011/8/15Independent writing: Does technology make children less creative than in the past? Are our kids becoming lazier and less creative, less imaginable than bef ore as a consequence of highly advanced technology? My answer is no, and just the opposite, technology has apparently assisted our kids to b ecome more creative.First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy access to scientific and liberal art resources which is their best source of inspirati on. For example, children could now easily gain access to academic dat abases through iPad screen, read classical works on Kindle, or watch hi storic documents on Internet. These great works are essentially helpful t o arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge necess ary for any creation. However, these wonderfulequipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reach limited reso urces in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provide d the possibility for children to be more creative.Second, technology has equipped children with professional apparatus w hich could finally realize their imagination. This takes form particularly as computer softwares and applications, such as Photoshop for creative gr aphic design, Overture for easily composing a piece of music, 3DMax for building up a virtual world, etc.. All the software were never as handy as they are at present, and this would absolutely provides our children a n effective tool for realizing their creativity.Third, technology itself is a market place where creative ideas are econo mically encouraged. Steve Jobs earned millions of dollars a year for his unparallel creation, and Mark Zuckberg gained his reputation for the geni us social network. Therefore, technology has provided children the intern al motive to develop their creativity. However, it is undeniable that technology might make children become la zier and be comfortable with what is already available because everythin g are so convenient nowadays and there seems to be no way to improv e them. Children lost in pc games or blindly pursuing everysingle piece of tech apparatus is a relevant example. Thus, it is always necessary t o keep children’s mind active in the marvelous world of technology. In a nutshell, I still regard children as becoming increasingly creative in t echnology development, although it might bring minor sideeffect. As alo ng as we keep a balanced mood on children enjoying the fruit of techno logy, they are sure to contribute more to innovation than in the past.2011-08-20Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The teachers sh ould be paid according to how well the students perform.T eachers should in part be responsible of the students’ school performan ce, yet I disagree to the statement that the teachers should be paid acc ording to the stu dents’ performance on several grounds. The statement itself underlies a serious mistake –the very purpose of te aching and schooling, and education on a bigger scale, is better perform ance of all students. Common sense informs me that education, and tea che rs’ responsibility in particular, should be intended to building up stude nts’ confidenc e in exploring and discovering unknown respects as well as specific skills required to accomplish that. Such standard is often broad and abstract in contrast to the narrowness and rigidity of the criterion –students’ performance. If teachers’ salary is det ermined by the students’performance, this hint would destroy the long-term function of schooling and education since the system is short-sightedly targeted at improving students’ performance.Another thing to be worried about the statement is that, ifactually carrie d out, both teachers and students would be cast into the irrational pursui t for performance thus results in serious problems. For example, a teach er evaluated in this way is immediately forced to make the decision: to push her class toward the best performance or atleast better than the worst-performing class, and show preference to students who perform we ll. Such measures might be incentives for a better grade, but the teache r and the students would lose theiroriginal motivation in schooling as pe rformance becomes the one and only purpose. Also, consequent competi tion among students would place heavy pressure on every student, and t he ones who do not perform well would be neglected by the teacher an d fall into upset. Considering all the disastrous effect such measure coul d incur, it is obvious that teachers should not be paid on the basis of st udents’ performance.A more realistic and rational criterion to v alue teachers’ work (and theref ore decide their salary) should include factors such as comprehensive de velopments of students, teachers’ own capacity to cultivate and educate, and parents’ feedback. Yet my disagreement does not suggest that stud ents’ perfo rmance should be abandoned but rather included along with ot her indispensable factors in evaluating teachers’ work, since school repor t is still among most parents’ top concerns and students have to use it as anchor when applying for further studies. Also, it is reasonable that t eachers who can enhance students’ performa nce should be paid better, as the measure would moderately motivate teachers to work hard.In a nutshell, I object to the idea that the teachers should be paid on th e basis of the students’ performance, but should instead be evaluated o n a medley of comprehensive quatatives which agrees with the purpose of education and schooling as well as encourages their effort toward mor e satisfying learning experience.2011-8-8Integrated WritingThe lecturer states that, although the commonly accepted three theories of birds’ navigation sounds convincing, it suffers from several flaws on v arious grounds, as is presented below. The first problem with the navigation theory presented in the text is the l ack of substantial evidence. As is stated in the lecture, many birds could still navigate at night; therefore they could not navigate by using the su n as compass, since there is no sunlight at night for their reference. An d stars do not help either, as there is only onebird species that is kno wn to navigate by using stars. Therefore the sun and the star could not be birds’ compasses. The second flaw concerns birds’ ability to recognize topographical cues. They can remember a certain journey, but only after their previous travel s via the same route. The phenomenon that birds that get lost could ea sily find their way home serves as a crucial example. On the contrary, t he theory presented in the test is questionable.Furthermore, although birds can sense the eart h’s magnetic field, the tex t ignores a crucial fact that birds could only distinguish north and south. What they could not perform is to find an indefinite destination hidden in complex landscape, which even troubles modern geographical technolog y, by thei r simple censoring system. Therefore, birds’ ability to sense ma gnetic field could not be the explanationfor their navigation ability.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(1)Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventuallyfiguring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned f rom others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each indivi dual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giant s; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never failto enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other.Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(2)Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and thenestablishing a most world-renown libray. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is beterr? Give reasons for your answer. After they complete their univerrsity studies, some studentspreferr to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city.I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several differrentmusiums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty infinding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there. Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can lookafter my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I goback to my home city, everybody will be waiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choise is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must. Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(4)If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regular thing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes withwhat's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decidewhere it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visitingrelatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral.I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or she can make all the difference in the world to your life.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(5)Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and esamples to support your answer. Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs outside the housedon’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars forone person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home.Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants areoften high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarineinstead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a fullplate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop,or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take up alo t of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(6)题目:It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.A New Movie TheaterEntertainment is an important part of everyone’s life. We all need to take time to relax insgroupsto live healthy lives and do our work efficiently. It is easier to relax when an appropriate form of entertainment is convenient and close by. Therefore, I would support a proposal to build a new movie theater in my neighborhood.Entertainment places can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but I believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. For one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. When they wanted to see a movie they could simply walk to the new theater rather than spend time traveling by bus or car. In addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. And finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shops, where the people of my neighborhood could go to relax. In short, a new movie theater in the neighborhood would increase the number of entertainment options for the residents. They could enjoy themselves more easily without spending a lot of time traveling to another part of the city. For these reasons I would support the building of a movie theater in my neighborhood.。

ibt⼝语Q2满分范⽂--熙熙编著1. Money1) Do you prefer to save money or spend it off (06-7-15) (07-12-8)I prefer to save the money rather than spend it off. Here are some reasons. The first reason is that I am a student now, so I do not need to spend a lot of money to entertain or something else. What I really need is to concentrate on my academic materials. Another reason to be considered is that I may need that money in the future. Maybe I need to buy a car and a house or prepare for my wedding. If I spend all that money right now, life will be really tough for me in the future.2) If you have a large sum of money, what will you do with it, to spend on practical thing or entertainment (06-11-18) (08-3-2) In my opinion, I would like to choose to spend the money on entertainment.1. It will help me release my pressures if I can spend some money on entertainment. I undergo a lot of pressures right now because all kinds of tests in my university. It will better for me if I can release those pressures. One way to do that is to spend some money to travel around the world. I will have the opportunity to see different things from different parts of the world. That will be very interesting.2. It is also good for my study if I can spend some money on entertain such as a enjoyable trip, because in that way, I can make myself refreshed and rejuvenated and be more efficient when I get back to study.3) Whether students should pay for their courses or not (07-7-14)In my opinion, I fully agree with the statement that students should pay for their courses. Here are some reasons. The first reason is that paying for the courses will provides students the motivation to learn because they do not want to waste the money. Another reason to be considered is that the tuition can pay the salary for teachers and staffs. It is impossible of the government to pay all those money because it is too much. The third reason is that if the students are required to pay for the courses, the school will have much money to build new classrooms and update their computer system. It will benefit the students.4) Are power and money the criteria to uate success (07-7-28)I can hardly agree the statement that power and money is the criteria to uate success.1. In my opinion, success is about the happiness it brings. For example, a man can earn a lot of money and great power, but as long as he is not happy or satisfied with his living conditions, he can not be regarded as successful.2. I think everyone can be successful if he or she really enjoys his or her life, because the goal of most people is to lead a great life. If they can really do that, even poor and powerless people can be successful.5) Do you agree with the statement: colleges should invest all the money on academic education rather than entertainment such as films? (08-6-22)No1. Students need those entertainments to release pressures caused by the academic education.2. Students can communicate with each other more often in the entertainment activities, such as go to see a film together or play basketball. So they can improve their social skills which are very important in their professional career in the future. 2. Courses1) Do you think high school should teach music and arts as other basic science subjects?I don’t agree that the high school should reach music and art as other basic science. The first reason is that no one can deny the main job for students in Chinese high school should be studying science. They always undergo a lot of pressure with the academic course because of all kinds of tests. So it is just a waste of time for them to study music and art. Another reason to be considered is that it is not true that all the students in high school like music and art. So they should not be forced to study those subjects. If some people like them, they can learn music and art by themselves in the future.2) Is musical education necessary (06-4-8)1. It can help to release the pressure.2. Sometimes, music can give students inspirations. For example, if students have to deal with difficult math problems, they can go to appreciate music. Maybe some good ideas will occur to them.3) Do you prefer online course or traditional course (06-10-8) (07-2-24) (07-12-15)In my opinion, I will definitely choose to take the traditional courses rather than the online courses. Here are some reasons: The first reason is that I am a kind of traditional guy, so I have already got used to the traditional courses. I just can not imagine myself sitting in front of a computer and learn something. Another reason to be considered is that I think it will be more effective if the students take the traditional courses, because the interaction between the students and the teachers in the classroom is very important. It will help us to focus on the materials and thus learn better.4) Do you like to study in a large class or small class (06-10-15) (08-1-12)I would like to study in a small class rather than a big class.1. I am a kind of quiet guy, so I really can not tolerate all kinds of noises people make when I have to study in a big class. If I can study in a small class, I will be able to create a peaceful environment for me to study and that will help me to focus on the study materials.2. If I can study in a small class, I can take advantages of the resources better. For example, I do not need to share a big desk or a computer with others. This will make me more efficient.5) Some universities offer PE courses while others do not. What do you think? (06-11-3)I think it is necessary for universities to offer PE courses.1. Taking the PE courses can help students to release pressures.2. Doing some sports will also make students more efficient. For example, after playing basketball for a while, students will feel refreshed and rejuvenated. So they can get back to study with a fresh mind. It will definitely make them more efficient.6) Which will you choose: a subject which will lead to better jobs or which you are interested in (07-3-3)As far as I am concerned, I will surely major in something that I am interested in. Here are some reasons:The first reason is that if I major something that I am not interested in; I am never gonna enjoy my life anymore. After all, we should have some fun in the university. And one way to do that is majoring in something that we like. Another reason to be considered is that, people who doing something that they are interested in will be more likely to be successful in the future because they have the motivation to work hard in a particular field.7) Do you agree with the statement: it is more important to learn math and science than arts and literature? (08-3-8)I agree the statement that it is more important to learn math and science than arts and literature.1. Students who are good at math and science are more likely to find a good job with decent pay, such as an engineer in the Microsoft. In this way, they will have a better life with the money they earn.2. Math and science can be used to solve a lot of problems. For example, the air pollution or the global warming. Those problems are significant to the surviving of human being. None of them can be solved by arts and literature.。

This problem is the much debated one in that it affects everybody in their daily lives. People may prefer one to another although some may have no opinions about it at all. Before rendering my opinion, I think it is necessary to take a glance at the arguments of both sides. It is quite easy for average people to choose BBB because of the obvious reason that---. It can be given by a well known example that ---.But at the mean time, although BBB has some advantages, it also has many drawbacks such as ---. Therefore we have no complete evidence to suggest that BBB is always better than AAA. What is more, the innate quality of AAA, unfortunately, is often underestimated; in other words,if you notice the invisible benefits of choosing AAA, you can understand AAA more deeply. Here I would explain a few of the most important reasons. The main reason is that ---. To illustrate this, there is an appropriate example that is very persuasive: ---.--- is only part of the important aspects, and another equally significant role of choosing AAA lies in the development of ---.This demonstrates the undeniable fact that ---.Besides, the further reason why I advocate AAA is that ---. This may explain why ---.In addition, some experts maintain that ----. This significant point, however, is often not noticed by most people and accordingly, is unconsciously overlooked. Finally, as a proverb says, “Everything has two sides”.Although I admit that there are a couple of advantages of ----, I still think that the disadvantages of it are more obvious. Such as ---, ----, and ----. This demonstrates that we have no complete evidence to suggest that BBB is always better than AAA.If all the factors above are considered, we will find out that the advantages of AAA outweigh those of BBB. Therefore from what we have discussed, we may safely come to the conclusion that choosing AAA is a rather wise decision. But I have not denied the opinion that choosing BBB. I must admit that people can do well without AAA, but no one can ignore the added convenience and satisfaction offered by AAA. Such experience will definitely be helpful in one’s later life.给大家的建议是一定要做些修改,然后用它套写几篇。
托福iBT作文范文(16)Is it more important to be able to work with a group of people on a team or to work independently? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer. While some people emphasize great importance of cooperation, others argue that the significance of individual competition should not be rejected or neglected. To examine whether one is more important than the other, we have to look carefully into further details. There are circumstances where the ability to work with group is much more important than that to work independently. More often than not, in most fields, a team can achieve much more extensive scope than an individual can, because one has less strength than many. In team-played sports, such as foot-ball, basket-ball; volley-ball etc., teamwork is often highly valued and is of essence. To get a goal or make a point, team members have to cooperate with each other, nobody couldachieve without other’s help. Although individual competence is a must, too much accent on his personal ability will lead him even the whole team to a disaster. On the other hand, there also are inverse circumstances. In vital decision making, for example, one have to make a final choice with his own judgment. Let’s consider the same situation mentioned above, on the very same sports ground, each opposite team has only one and should have only one coach, who must work independently to make important decisions, including which player should be replaced, which player should present on what kind of special circumstances, and so many other critical choices. The coach, like the commanders in the war, stands on a position where he has to be competitive, and his only rival is the coach of the other side. Even if he at the same time has to consult with others, it is him who takes the final step, and he essentially has no choice but to have an excellent ability to work independently. There seldom exists a circumstance where cooperation and competition do not coexist. The point is that emphasis on cooperation doesn’t meancompetition should be neglected or rejected, and vice versa. Therefore, it hasn’t gone too far to say that both the ability of working with group and that of working independently are equally important.[347 Words]。
托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例11If you could ask a famous person one question, what would you ask? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. If I had the opportunity to sit down and meet one of my idols or heroes, I could come up with hundredsof questions to find out what they did to get where they are, but in particular I like to have asked Helen Keller, what would she have made of the technology available today to blind and deafblind individuals? When Helen Keller was nineteen months old, a serious illness almost took her life. She survived the disease had left her both blind and deaf. Her education contributed to her first teacher, Anne Sullivan. Anne taught Helen to finger spell, and manage to let her understand the meaning of words. Imagine how hard it is for a person both blind and deaf to relate words with real world objects, although she never had a chance to see those objects!Another teacher Mary Swift Lamson who over the coming year was to try and teach Helen to speak. This was something that Helen desperately wanted and although she learned to understand what somebody else was saying by touching their lips and throat, her efforts to speak herself proved to be unsuccessful. However, Helen moved on to the Cambridge School for Young Ladies and later entered Radcliff College, becoming the first deaf blind person to have ever enrolled at an institution of higher learning. After World War Two, Helen spent years traveling the world fundraising for the American Foundation for the Overseas Blind. They visited Japan, Australia, South America, Europe and Africa. Her hard work and achievements was widely recognized throughout the world, and she was acknowledged as "the Miracle Worker".If Helen Keller were born today her life would undoubtedly have been completely different. Her life long dream was to be able to talk, something that she was never really able to master. Today the teaching methods exist that would have helped Helen to realize this dream. What would Helen have made of the technology available today to blind and deaf blind individuals? Technology of today has enabled blind and deaf blind people, like Helen, to communicate directly, and independently, with anybody in the world. Some people prefer to live in places that have the same weather or climate all year long. Others like to live in areas where the weather changes several times a year. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice. There is no denying the fact that whether to choose a place that have the same weather all year long, or a place where the weather changes several times a year is a popular topic which is much talked about. Although it seems that normally wecannot tell which one outweigh the other between these two kinds of places, they deserve some close examination. If three criteria were taken into account, I would prefer living in areas where the weather changes several times a year to living in places that have the same weather or climate all year long. There are no less than three advantages in this as rendered below.First, varied weather or climate broadens the range of our pastimes. For example, we can go swimming in summer and go skiing in winter. If the place we live in has only hot weather all year long, like Singapore, most of us can never go skiing in our lives.Secondly, the change of climate gives us opportunities to wear many kinds of clothes. Some say it is a waste of money to buyclothes depending on seasons. However, wearing various clothes, looking at others’ fashion, and feeling the change of seasons is very interesting for me. Thirdly, changing of seasons is good for our health. When winter comes our body’s metabolism slows down, and when summer comes it speeds up, so that our body can maintain a good rhythm. Also snows in the winter can kill a lot of bacteria and bad insects, so that in the spring our chance of being infected to a disease is decreased and we can enjoy nice atmosphere and sceneries. For these reasons, I prefer to live in areas that have several changes of weather. Only these three reasons can make a person draw the conclusion that living in areas that have season changes is better, not to mention there are more. Many students have to live with roommates while going to school or university. What are some of the important qualities of a good roommate? Use specific reasons and examples to explain why these qualities are important. The important qualities of a good roomateWe become more independent and learn more life experience while live without families, but your roommates. However, to live with other people is neither easy nor difficult. You should learn how to be a good roommate, basically.Believe or not, dormitory life is a extremly happy thing. You make new friends, experience independece, difficulties and enjoy the freedom. But all of these are base on your behaves as a good roommate.Firstly, you should know how to respect people. Not only your roommate, also people around you. It is the most important factor in our communications. Whatever what is your background, you are the same as your roommates, you guys are all equal. To respect your roommate, respect their religions and cultures. Do not laugh at enthetic people or racism. That is rude and stupid. We should respect what God created for us. Besides, you must respect your roommates' privately, everyone have right to have their secrets.Take your duty and responsibility. You can not ingore and think about those are negligible. Do not tend to ask your mates to do things what you have to do. Remember, no one will like a lazy and irresponsible roommate. In general, you should help to cleaning, put litter bags to dustheap, put things back after you used .To be quite when others are studying, take care of your men is another factor among. In addition, You are one of members of your dormitory. Do not hide yourself behind, you are buddy of your roommates. Try to share your ideas, experience of study and life, your happiness etc. And you listen to your mates experience as well. Take care of your mates You dormitory will be lively then. All in all, as long as you enjoy your dormitory life, get well with your friends, then you should be a good roommate. Whatever what you experiences, those of them will be a beautiful memorial of your rest of life. TRY IT.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Dancing plays an important role in a culture. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.Dancing is an important art form, and also plays an important role in a culture. Some dance spontaneously happens at celebrations as an expression of emotion or some happen in a more structured manner at ceremonies.Dancing plays an important role in ceremonial events in many cultures. For example, during the Pukumani ceremony the dances performed reflect the relationship to the deceased. In Lebanon, the classical belly dancing still plays an important part at weddings, representing the transition from virgin bride to sensual woman, and is also popular in nightclubs. On the other hand, residents of the Greenland believe that the dancing and drum can be used as a tool to dissolve conflicts between people. As we may see from the above examples, dancing is an integral part of many cultures. Of course, dancing does not have the same functions in our modern life, but many people in our society still find dancing an enjoyable form of entertainment and art. Young people go to disco with their friends to release their energies, and they find dancing a good way to relax and make friends.Older people dance together as a social event and a good means of exercise. In addition, many people go to theatres to enjoy performances of ballet and modern dances. Enjoying those beautiful dancing, music and costumes in a dance performance, can give us a beautiful experience, and help us develop appreciation of art, and enrich our after work life.In conclusion, no one can deny that dancing plays an important role in a culture.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例7Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space (for example, traveling to the Moon and to other planets). Other people disagree and think governments should spend this money for our basic needs on Earth. Which of these two opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. When we see photographs of starving children, it's hard to say that we should spend billions of dollars on space exploration. But that's just what we should do. Children don't need to be starving, but we do need to explore space. Right now, we have enough money to feed every person on Earth. Children are starving because of mismanagement of resources and simple human greed. Those are problems we can solve right here on earth. That shouldn't stop our need to find out what's beyond our own solar system. We may never make contact with whatever other species there may be out there in space. Even so, there are still two very practical and positive consequences of space exploration. One is a certainty and the other is a possibility. The certainty is medical research. Yes, we can conduct research here on earth. But much of the research done in space, for example, on the effects of gravity on bone marrow, is making a difference in medicine here on Earth. When we do research in space, we also learn more about space exploration. Also, many of the inventions that were developed for space travel have been adapted to good use on Earth. The possible consequence of space exploration is finding another planet human beings can colonize. Overpopulation is a huge problem on our planet. People are living longer, more healthful lives, and that's a good thing. But it means there are fewer people dying and more people being born. Eventually we'll have less space, fewer resources, and major distribution problems. If we can find another planet to live on, we can relieve the problems of overpopulation on our planet. It's a tragedy that there are human beings suffering on Earth. However, if we wait until everyone has a perfect life, we will never explore space-and that, too, would be a kind of tragedy.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例6People have different ways of escaping the stress and difficulties of modern life. Some read; some exercise; others work in their gardens. What do you think are the best ways of reducing stress? Use specific details and examples in your answer.Stress is one of our biggest enemies. It affects our health, our personality, and our relationships with others. In order to get rid of stress, I first have to identify the cause.I have different antidotes to stress depending on the cause. The most common types of stress I face are with work, with friends, and with myself.Work-related stress is the easiest to combat. I simply stop working for a while. If I find myself picking up the same piece of paper four times a day and never doing anything with it, I blame stress. If I find- myself staring at the computer without finishing areport, I blame stress. The best thing to do is to do something else. Sometimes, I get up from my desk and go down the hall to talk to my colleagues, but I don't talk about work related subjects. Other times, I will take a short walk around the block and get some fresh air. Work-related stress can be cured by getting away from the work.Stress caused by friends is more difficult to cure. Often the cause is more complicated. My friends could have a personal problem that causes them and me both anxiety. Or my friends could be angry at me or vice versa. Here, the cure for stress is talking about the problem and being with my friends. Unlike work, you can't walk away from your friends.Stress I cause myself is also not so easy to get rid of. If I feel bothered by an exam or anxious about the future, there is very little for me to do. I just have to tell myself that I can only do my best and leave the rest up to fate.It is important to try to lead a stress-free life. If you can avoid stress by walking away from it (like at work), talking through it (like with your friends) or facing it head on (like with yourself), your health, personality and relationships will benefit.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例5Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Teachers should be paid according to how much their students learn. Give specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. Some communities have decided to base evaluations of teachers on students' test scores. It's these evaluations that determine how much teachers will be paid.I don't think this is a very good idea for several reasons.First of all, if teachers' salaries are going to be based on how much students learn, then some teachers will start to teach their students only what they need to get high test scores. This means that students will miss out on a lot of education that can't be measured on a test. For instance, one of the best methods to help students understand a subject is encouraging them to discuss it. A common practice is to divide the class into groups, have each group discuss the subject, and then have them report back to the whole class. This kind of shared learning can lead to a fuller understanding. It also teaches students how to discuss and debate ideas. However, it doesn't supply facts to show off on a test.Another problem with basing teachers' salaries on how much their students learn is that teachers may ignore students who have learning difficulties. Some students learn more slowly than others and need more personal attention. If a teacher is worried about tests, he may feel he has to push the majority of the students to cram facts. That effort will take all his time. He won't be able tohelp the less able students. It's true there are teachers who "burn out" after many years teaching and just don't care how much their students learn. Basing their salaries on their students' test scores may improve their efforts. However, it's not fair for the majority of teachers. They deserve and need to be judged by other criteria.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例4If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an international exhibition, what would you choose? Why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice. If I were asked to send one thing representing my country to an international exhibition, I'd send something unexpected: one week's worth of television programming. These programs would best represent my country. They show how the citizens of my country live and what they think and feel. The dramas on television are very realistic. They show how people in different parts of the country go about their daily lives. They show how they earn their livings, how they deal with crime, and how they interact with each other. The dramas also show how people in various economic groups dress, what kinds of houses they live in, and what kinds of education their children receive. The comedies indicate what people in my country think is funny. Even though the situations are exaggerated, they reflect how my culture deals with very basic human situations. People everywhere understand falling in love, raising a family, and earning a living.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例3Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.I realize that it's important to stay up to date with our technology. So much, like our space and defense programs, depends on it. I've also read that we shouldn't let other governments get ahead of ours in the race for better technology. This could eventually put us at a disadvantage and our whole economy could suffer. Despite all this, I think our government should spend our tax dollars on more basic items before it gets into the business of developing computer technology. We have so many problems in our society, and it seems every solution needs money. For instance, we talk about getting people off welfare. To do that we need money to give them jobs until they can support themselves. That means support training, day care for their children, and probably a monthly rent subsidy. All of those things can cost hundreds of millions of dollars. However, if we could solve a major problem like that, wouldn't it improve our society even more than new technology?Another problem is that our transportation system is falling apart. Bridges have cracks in them. Highways buckle. Accidents happen because of these problems. We shouldn't put money into improving a computer chip when we have basic needs like these.Besides, why should the government be in the business of developing technology? Aren't there several very successful corporations doing just that? Yes, it's probably less expensive in the long run for the government to develop-the technology. Nevertheless, in the short run, there are basic needs in our society that aren't being met. I think that's where the money should go.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例2You have been told that dormitory rooms at your university must be shared by two students. Would you rather have the university assign a student to share a room with you, or would you rather choose your own roommate? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.I'd rather have the university assign a roommate to share a room with me. As far as I'm concerned, this is part of the university experience. Students should meet new people and be open to new experiences. I like leaving this up to chance.Actually, even though the university will choose, it's not totally a matter of chance. We all filled out information sheets. The school knows what we're majoring in, what our interests are, and our study habits and our goals. I think they're probably very good at matching roommates using this information. They've had a lot of practice. Besides, if a mistake is made, I can change my room assignment next semester. If I did want to choose my own roommate, I'd first pick some candidates from the list supplied by the university. Then I'd write to them and they'd write back. Through our letters, we'd find out if we shared common interests, such as sports or movies. More importantly, we'd find out if we liked doing the same things in our free time. Because of my investigation, I'd probably get someone compatible with me. It's a lot of work to go through, though. Besides, the process of finding similar interests isn't all that different from what the university does.Trying to predict whom I'm going to get along with is not a science. I might choose someone who sounds just like me and still find that the two of us just don't get along as roommates. Besides, I think it would be boring to room with somebody who's just the same as me. I'd rather be with someone who has different interests and likes to do different things. Maybe I'd even get a roommate from another culture. After all, one of the reasons I'm going to the university is to be exposed to a lot of new experiences. So, I'd rather have the university choose my roommate for me.托福考试:新托福写作高分满分作文例1Some people like doing work by hand. Others prefer using machines. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Here's the problem. I'm sloppy. That's why I like to use machines to do my work rather than do things by hand. Machines can be creative, precise, and efficient. Most people think that you can only be creative if you do things by hand. However, it takes creativity to set the machine up. Once it's set up, it can repeat the same task over and over and over perfectly. If you want to write ten letters, you can set up your word processor to do it, press a button, and ten letters will be printed. It would take me forever by hand, and I would make a lot of mistakes. By hand, each letter would be different. By machine, each one is perfect.Machines are very precise. They don't get tired and cut the wrong way. They don't get distracted and drop some mustard on the paper. As I said, I'm sloppy, but I like neatness. That's why I prefer to use machines.Machines are also more efficient. I'm too tired to pick up the phone and see who is calling me. My answering machine isn't tired. It's always on duty. It doesn't get tired, upset, or moody.I can depend on my machines, but I can't always depend on my hand to be creative, precise, or efficient.。

托福iBT作文范文(6)Some people think that they can learn better by themselves than with a teacher. Others think that it is always better to have a teacher. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons to develop your essay.Whether we need a teacher or not depends on circumstances. The relationship between a teacher and a new subject is somewhat similar to that between a tour guide and an unknown city. When we come to an unknown city for the first time, we definitely need a tour guide. We might have a detailed map, but it is unlikely functional –it isn’t surprised that we can hardly interpret those mysterious symbols. Likewise, when we are beginners, it is wise to learn with teachers. They can tell us where to begin with, what we should do, and which reference we should choose. When we confront difficulties, we can ask them for help, and their advices will always be tremendously helpful. With teachers’ assistance, we might learneasier, faster, and more interestingly. After a period of time, we have learned a lot. We now know the city pretty well, even though there still are many places we haven’t been. It doesn’t matter. Now that we are able to recognize those mysterious symbols on the map, what we need perhaps is not a tour guide but a more detailed map. Similarly, we need richer references for learning. Yes, there are still many fields unexplored; they are, nevertheless, no longer puzzling. The task is simple: we will explore them one by one, little by little. If we are working on a certain skill, practice more; if we are preparing a test, practice more; whatever we are learning, just remember, like people always say, practice makes perfect. After another period of time, we might have become others’ tour guide, but we still want to know more. We want to know which restaurant is the most decent, which bookstore is the most professional, which coffee shop is the most classical. Even the most comprehensive map doesn’t have adequate information. We again need experts. In learning, it’s much the same.We need experts to consult for specific problems. Furthermore, the most beneficial merit of consulting experts is that we can not merely refer to them but even discuss with them in depth.
