Dynamic Positioning with Thrusters:

Lead to new rules-requirements - Structural reliability - Damage stability GVA’s initial experience from building semi’s on license highlighted the need for constructability improvements of semi configuration. GVA twin pontoon, four column and two horizontal bracing concept was patented MSC, F&G adopt GVA semi hull forms with variations e.g., number of horizontal bracing, pontoon end form etc.
