Get ready to meet everyone!First up is my mom. Her name is Sarah and she is the best mom ever! She works really hard at her job during the day, but when she comes home she always has a huge smile and a tight huge for me. Mom loves to cook and bake yummy treats for us. Her specialty is chocolate chip cookies - they are delicious! She can be a little strict sometimes when I don't listen, but I know she just wants me to be good. Mom is very patient and caring. She helps me with my homework when I get stuck and reads bedtime stories to me every night. I love you mom!Then there's my dad, Mike. He's a totally silly goofball! Dad is always cracking jokes and doing funny voices to make us laugh. He's not afraid to be totally goofy and makes us crack up all the time. But dad also works really hard at his job to provide for ourfamily. When he gets home from work, he'll play games with me or take me to the park to have fun. Dad is super active and loves sports. He coaches my soccer team and is always running around kicking the ball with us. Dad has a great sense of humor but can also be serious when he needs to be. Once he even put gummy worms in my lunch bag as a joke! James acts too cool for everything, but I still look up to my big brother. When he's not bugging me, James is actually really smart and good at things like math and science. He gets amazing grades and is always reading books. James also has a sweet side that he doesn't show much - like when he helps me practice scoring goals or lets me pick what TV shows we watch. I just wish he wasn't such a brat sometimes!My little sister Emma is only 3 years old. Even though she's really little, she has SO much energy! Emma is always running around, jumping, and getting into trouble. She's a total mess maker too - you should see our living room after she plays! Emma is very curious about everything and asks a million "why" questions. She can also be a bit of a tantrum-thrower if shedoesn't get her way. But Emma is super cute and sweet, with the most adorable smile and laugh. She gives the best slobbery kisses! Emma makes me laugh with how funny and chatty she is, even though I can't understand half of what she says. I love playing games and running around with my little sissy. Her energy is endless!Last but not least, I have to mention our family dog, Buddy. He's an old golden retriever but still has tons of puppy energy. Buddy is seriously the happiest, most loving dog ever! Whenever I get home from school, he greets me with a wagging tail and licks to my face. Buddy loves to play fetch and go for walks around the neighborhood. He's pretty obedient and always comes when called, unless there are too many squirrels around to distract him! Buddy does have a loud, booming bark that can scare strangers. But he's just an overgrown lapdog to us and loves cuddling up on the couch. Buddy has been my furry best friend since I was a little kid. Pets really are family too!So that's my whole crazy, fun family! She works really hard as a nurse at the hospital, helping sick people get better. Even though her job is tough, she always has a smile on her face when she comes home. My mom is really kind and caring. She gives the biggest, warmest hugs that make me feel so loved. She's also really patient - like when I was learning to tie my shoes, she showed me over and over until I got it right. The only thing is, my mom worries a lot, especially if my brother and I are out playing past dark. But I guess that's just because she loves us so much.Then there's my dad, Kevin. He's a police officer, so he has to be tough to catch all the bad guys. And let me tell you, my dad is STRONG! He can lift me all the way over his head like I weighnothing at all. My dad is also really funny and loves telling jokes to make us laugh. Sometimes they're so silly that my mom has to tell him to stop! But I like when he acts goofy. My dad can be strict at times though, especially when it comes to cleaning my room. He always says "Your room looks like a tornado hit it!" But he's just trying to keep me organized.I also have an older brother named Michael who is 13 years old. We fight a lot because he can be such a pain! Michael is SUPER messy and he burps all the time which is so gross. He's always hogging the TV to play his video games. But I guess brothers are just like that sometimes. Deep down though, Michael does have a kind side. Like when I fell off my bike last year and scraped my knee, he stopped teasing me and actually helped get me bandaged up. And he's really smart too, getting good grades in all his classes. I just wish he wasn't so annoying all the time!Oh, and I can't forget about my grandma Betty! She lives down the street from us. Grandma is SO nice. She bakes the most delicious chocolate chip cookies and always lets me lick the spoon when she's done. Yummy! Grandma Betty is my dad's mom and she moved in with us after grandpa died a few years ago. She has a really cute little dog named Rufus who is furry andwrinkly. Grandma takes him for walks every day, rain or shine! Sometimes she gets a little forgetful, like she'll call me by my dad's name by accident. But she has such a kind heart and always gives me big smoochy kisses on the cheek.Those are the most important people in my family, but we have more relatives too. Like my aunts, uncles, and cousins who we see at holidays and birthdays. They're all tons of fun with their jokes and silly dancing. My uncle Marcus does these hilarious impressions of cartoon characters that make me crack up every time. And my cousin Riley is only 4 but she's already so smart, she can count all the way to 100!All in all, I feel really lucky to have such an awesome, loving family.
