1.dad (n.) 【非正式】爸爸，爹爹
English meaning: informal father
例句：She lives with her Mom and Dad. 她和爸爸妈妈一起生活。

daddy (n.) 爸爸，爹爹（尤为儿语）
例句：Look, Daddy’s home! 看，爸爸回家啦！
2.key (n.)
①钥匙
the key to the door 门钥匙
②key 做名词还有“关键”之意。

用法仍为the key to…
例句：Studying hard is the key to learning English well. 努力学习是学好英语的关键。

③key作名词还有“答案”之意。

(adj.) 极为重要的，关键的
e.g. ：key points 关键点key questions 关键问题
与此相关：keyboard 键盘
3.baby (n.) 小孩
复数形式：babies
例句：They have a five-year-old boy and a baby girl. 他们有一个5岁的男孩和一个出生不久的女孩。

baby不光可以指小孩，也可用来指幼雏，幼苗。

（即动物植物范畴）
【美口】表示“亲爱的”（用于称呼所爱的人）= honey
用于称呼男朋友：babe
baby walker 学步车baby talk 儿语，婴儿牙牙学语
4.hear (v.) 听到，听见
过去式，过去分词：heard
注意：不用于进行时
①hear sb./sth. doing sth. 听见某人某物正在做。

例句：I think I can hear someone knocking. 我似乎听到有人在敲门。

②hear sb./sth. do sth. 听到某人某事做某事的全过程
例句：David is a good boy- I heard Becca say so. 大卫是个好男孩-我听见贝卡这么说的。

③区别：listen
listen 表示动作~ hear表示结果
④hear+ that 从句听说。

例句：I heard that you won the game! 我听说你比赛赢了！
⑤hear from sb. 得到某人消息，收到某人来信
例句：I look forward to hearing from you. 我希望尽快收到你的来信。

⑥hear of sb./sth. 听说过。

Have you heard of Becca ? 你听说过贝卡吗？
5.enjoy (v.) 喜欢；享受。

的乐趣
①enjoy doing sth. 喜欢做某事
例句：I enjoy doing my homework. 我喜欢做作业。

②enjoy yourself 过得愉快；感到快乐
6.yourself (pron.) 你自己
you的反身代词复数形式：yourselves
①not be/ feel yourself 【非正式】有点不适【疲惫，烦恼】
②(all) by yourself 独立地
例句：Can you put on your shoes on all by yourself, Ben? 你能自己穿上鞋吗，本？
7.ourselves (pron.) 我们自己
①(all) by ourselves 我们独自地
