T:It is ruler in English.课程讲授Step II Learn the new words1.Have ready a quilt，a map，a jacket，a key，a ruler，a pen，an orange.Hold the key up and say What’s this in English? It’sa key.2.Repeat and then get students to repeat.Do the same with a key，a pen，a ruler.If possible，use flashcards to teach the spelling of the words.Put a flashcard beneath a drawing of each object.3.Write the eight letters Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp, Qq, Rr. The teacher walks around the classroom to watch and help the students study while the students are studying.Step III Check upthe tape twice.Have the students circle the things they hear.2. Get the students to act out the conversations in the picture of 1a. Make sure the students understand what they should do.Students can work in pairs then ask them to act out the conversations they made.3.Do 2a，2b，2c and 2d one after another.2b：after the students do 2a, show them how to wr ite the letters on the blackboards，both of “Big” and “small".Make sure all the students know how to write them. 预备篇是为了使没有英语学习基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的。
本单元的基础内容为：学习Ii –Rr 10个字母，学习用“What’s this in English?”,“It’s a/an...”询问并回答，区分this和that，用“Spell it,please.”拼写单词0range,ruler,pen,jacket,quilt,key,map,cup。

Section A为目标句型提供分步示例和指导性练习；Section B使学生能够对已经学过的目标句型运用自如；Self Check使学生对自己现阶段的英语水平，即对本单元的语音目标的掌握程度有较为明确的认识。
Starter Unit 2是Go for it! 预备篇三个单元中的第二单元。
预备篇是为了使没有英语学习基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的。
它的主要内容为26个英文字母和最基本的英语日常用语。
学情分析学生在小学中已经学过一点类似的内容，而本单元是对以前学习过的知识的补充和升华，由于以前有一点基础，而且话题也比较贴近学生的生活，所以学生较感兴趣。

Teaching procedures :
Step 1 Warming up and leading in 1, A Guessing game Teachers show a part of a letter and ask,“What’s this?”Get the students to answer the questions li ke this“I think it’s A/B.” Then show the whole of the letter to let the students check whether they’re right or wrong. Step 2 : Listening for the general idea
Listen to the tape check what have listened .

English ? ” then try to use “that” instead
of “this” ask one student “What’s that
in English ?” then let students act in
