[教材分析]:
（一）课文内容：本课的标题是Two geniuses，围绕天才爱因斯坦和他的司机汉斯的一段轶事，组织学生开展语言知识点学习的一系列活动。
学生已于前一课时对课文内容有了较全面的理解，也跟读了新单词，为本课时的学习奠定了基础。
（二）课前准备：要求学生了解爱因斯坦的更多事迹和喜欢的天才的事迹，为语言知识点的导入和运用做好背景知识准备；跟读了新单词。
[教学目标]:
1. 语言知识目标：学生在具体情境中学习本课的语言知识点并懂得如何运用它们；.
2.语言功能目标：提高学生在相关情景中运用语言知识点的能力。
3. 情感教育目标: 思考天才是如何炼成的，形成正确的价值观--“天才始于勤奋和个人
终生的刻苦奋斗”。
[教学重难点]:
教学重点：掌握本课的重点单词、短语和句型：
单词（2）：genius, perfectly；
短语（8）：regard … as, an attempt to do, a gift / talent for sth.,
a sense of humour, give a lecture, learn… by heart ,
let sb. down, offer to do sth.；
句型（1）：It’s a pleasure (for sb.) to do sth.
教学难点：创设情境，设计活动，让学生在活动中通过所学语言知识点的运用来熟悉掌握知识点。
[教学方式]: 任务型教学，小组合作活动、小组竞赛。
