一 预学目标

1. 根据单词表,预习课本P92-93的单词,能根据音标正确拼读这些单词:spend, lazy, blouse, tie,

lend

2. 找出课本P92-93新出现的短语和重点句型,猜猜它们的意思:talk about, ten more minutes, in bed,

fashion show

I’m thinking about what to wear.

That’s right.

You’re so lazy.

Can you lend us your red blouse for our fashion

show?

Step 2 Lead in

1. Introduce the topic with help of a well-known

fashion magazine, pictures and fashion labels ( The

teacher can use the brands of cars or bags or shoes

etc) or put some pictures of different fashion items

on the board.

2 提高”环节 2. Write the topic “ fashion” in large letters and

make some simple questions about fashion:

1) What is your favorite fashion?

2) Do you know any fashion film star?

3) What fashion shoe brand you like most?

(Ss try to do this task in groups of about four.)

Step 3 Presentation

1. T: Today we’re going to talk about fashion. First

let’s talk about our old friend Eddie and Hobo. Do

you think they need clothes? And what clothes suit

dogs?

2. Listen to the dialogue between the two dogs

Questions:

(1) What does Eddie want to do after talking with

Hobo?

(2) What does Hobo think of Eddie?

5. Read after the tape.

6. Work in pairs: act out the dialogue.

Step 4 Language points

1. I’m thinking about what to wear.

(1) think about “考虑”

e.g. I’m thinking about the question.

(2) what to wear”穿什么”

“疑问词+动词不定式”,介词about后作宾语,常放ask, decide, forget, know, show等后。

e.g. I don’t know what to say now.

练习:I don’t know where I can buy this kind of

book. = I don’t know this kind

of book.

2. I can spend ten more minutes in bed then.

(1) spend “度过”“花费”

I often spend more time on my hobbies.

Where are you going to spend this summer holiday?

Ex 你怎样度周末?

do you your weekends?

(2) ten more minutes 意为“另外十分钟”

又可表示为 another ten minutes.

(3) in bed “躺在床上”

区别于: on the/one’s bed 表示“某物在床上”

Ex

He is bed and his computer is bed too.

Don’t read in bed.

3. You’re so lazy.

so “这么,那么,如此”

3 Ex 那个人如此高。

Step 5 Presentation

1. Ask Ss to study the picture carefully and work in

pairs to put the correct words in the correct boxes on

page 93.

For stronger classes, teach more clothing items,

such as : bra, trainers, T-shirt, shorts etc)

2. T 将学生带来的服装挂教室前,设置成服装店的情境:Boys and girls, suppose I am a shopkeeper.

Welcome to my clothes shop. You can buy the

clothes you like.

(1) T &S1 对话

T: Which one do you like?

S1: I like this blouse.

T: Do you like this yellow blouse? It’s only 50 yuan.

S1: OK. I’ll take it. Here’s the money. Thanks.

同样方法请5个同学,复习巩固生词

(2) Ss work in pairs:

S1: What is it?/What are these?

S2: It is a …/ They’re …

(3)Ss work in groups of 3: make a dialogue in a

clothes shop.

S1(shopkeeper):

S2\S3(shopper):

3. T: Millie’s class will hold a fashion show.

Now she is asking her mother to lend her

some clothes for the show. Listen to them and

tell me: What will Millie borrow from her

mother?

4. Read together, then act it out.
