when she usually gets up

Step2 practise, generalize and summarize

1. Show the sentences that the students said just now on the screen. And

ask the students to say what the link words of the object clause are.

Ask the students to summarize the link words of the object clause and

write them down on their paper.

Ask the students to find out the mistakes in the false sentences and then

correct them.

Eg: The policeman asked the boy where was his mother.

Then let the students know that the object clause should be the Statements Sequence

in each sentence.

I don’t know when he came back yesterday.

I will let you know when he came back yesterday.

I didn’t know when he would come back tomorrow.

Ask the students to find out the differences about the tense in each

sentence and then get the summary about the tense in the object clause.

Step3. Show two groups of the sentences with the same link word in each

group of the two sentences.

And then ask the students about the differences between the two sentences.

Then lead in the adverbial clause.

1. Ask the students to summarize all kinds of link words of the Adverbial

Clause through watching the video. Then ask the students to reply.

And from the last two sentences, ask the students to pay attention to the

tense in the two sentences.
