General DescriptionThe DSH103, 3-way spool valves are used as low flow directional valves, pilot valves, or selector valves. ToolsPLD130 is delivered set to the max of its face value (e.g. Required pressure for a PLD130-161-210 can only be adjusted to a value <210).Adjusting to the required level should be done as shown in below instrictions.1. Loosen the lock nut one rev.Counter-clockwise2. Set required pressure value by turning the adjusting screw.3. Hold adjusting screw and fasten lock nut clockwise. Remove carefully the old scraper ring (not spring loaded) to avoid damaging of the lever bracket. Use as tool a screwdriver,a nippers or a small hook.2. Clear scraper ring groove and make sure there are no color or paint flakes remaining in the track.3 The scraper ring with associated surfaces in the lever bracket must be oiled.4. Tools1. A special tool must be used to engage the manual override function of the solenoid! Use of other tools to attempt to engage or disengage the manual override may not work or may not work when intended.2. When using the manual override function, the solenoid has only on-off functionality and doesn’t operate proportionally as usual. This means, for example, that the solenoid may operate much faster than usual and the unexpected speed could cause crushing or other injuries.3. When using the manual override be certain that all operations of the application, regardless of speed, will not endanger persons or property nearby.4. As always, consult the operations manual for all specifications and functions of the valve. If there are questions contact MSDE.The PS25MO is equipped with a manual override pin in the connector. T o actuate the PS25MO a specific tool is needed since the tolerances of the pin is so small that it can be damaged or the pin sticks in actuated position.Please notify that it’s for fault searching only and shall be used as rarely as possible with common sense in mind. If manual override is used humans can be exposed for very dangerous situations. Due to high data transmission speed and short cycle times, also demanding control functions can be realized within the fieldbus system.The valve is actuated and monitored by the EtherCAT interface. Actual value (spool position), temperature, op -erating hours and different error messages are available as diagnostic signals. The valve parameters are factory set and can be adapted with the Parker ProPxD software via the parametrizing interface.In addition to the fieldbus communication, the valves pro -vide the range of functions of the standard version includ-ing analogue command signal and diagnostic spare stroke. Lower all vertical loads and cylinders, lock any load which could produce pressure and discharge any accumulators. Plug and cap all lines and openings to prevent contamination from entering the system.Cleaning and Inspection1.Proper cleaning is a critical part of preventive maintenance in the use of directional control valves. All parts shouldbe cleaned with a solvent that is compatible with the system fluid. Compressed air may also work well when cleaning orifices and passage ways, but proper filtration must be employed to remove water and contamination.NOTE: Always make sure all parts have been cleaned before reassembling.2.Inspectiona.Inspect all passage ways for obstructions.b.Inspect all washers, push pins, plungers and pole faces for signs of wear and/or mushrooming. Inspect allsprings for signs of distortion. Replace parts as necessary.c.Look for nicks and burrs on the spool and bore lands. Nicks in these areas indicate likely contamination of thesystem fluid.3.If there are no signs of nicks or burrs on the spool and bore, check the spool clearance as follows:a.Lubricate the spool and bore with clean system fluid.b.Insert the spool back into the body and slowly move the spool back and forth. The spool should move freely. Ifthere is any sticking between the spool and the bore, remove the spool and repeat 2b.c.The spool clearance can also be checked by placing the valve body on end and inserting the spool.
