ABSTRACT A new copper(II)complex【CH2(DI ̄!F)(H20)(C7H4NO4)2(C7H3NO4)]2-3.5DMF
has been synthesized and its structure was determined by single-crystal X—ray diffraction.The
crystal is of tficlinic.space group P with a=10.722(3),b=18.170(4),c=20.923(7)A, =
105.297(9), =101.701(10),),=105.74(1)。,V=3615(1)A ,z=2,C58.50H64.50Cu4N11.50031 50,M,
=1686.9O,D =1.550 g/cm , =1.255 mrfl~,F(000)=1728.0O,T=15o(2)K,the final R=
0.0640 and wR=0.173 for ll3 10 observed reflections with I>20(n.In the crystal,each formular
unit consists of two dinuclear copper(if)compounds.between which the O—H…O hydrogen bonds

ABSTRACT A new manganese coordination polymer 1,[Mn(H20)4(L)]n(C104)2n・2nH20・3nL(L
=2,5-bis(4-pyridy1)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene),has been synthesized and structurally characterized.
The crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.ne crystal is of
monoelinic,space group Pn with a=13.9176(8),b=15.4754(9),c=15.9670(9)A, =
99.5010(10) ̄,V=3391.8(3)A ,z=2,Cs6I-I6sC12MnNl60l4, =1315.10,D =1.288 g/cm3, =

QUESTIONS
4-1 The cost of the raw materials entered into production is moved from the raw
materials account to the work-in-process inventory account. The cost of
manufacturing labor and overhead items are assigned to production by
adding them to the work-in-process inventory account. Overhead costs are
assigned (or allocated or apportioned) as determined by the cost system.
When manufacturing is completed, work is transferred to finished goods
inventory, and costs are moved from the work-in-process inventory account
to the finished goods inventory account. Finally, when goods are sold their
costs are moved from the finished goods inventory account to cost of goods
sold.

V_0l|26.No.5 547~550 Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 2-Hydroxybenzoic Acid【1一(3,5一Dibromo一2一 hydroxypheny1)methylidene]hydrazide Methanol03 WANG Nong@LI Jing.Ping PU Yan.Ling (School ofChemical and Biological Engineering,Lanzhou Jiaotong University,Lanzhou 730070,China) ABSTRACT A new Schiff base compound,2-hydroxybenzoic acid[1-(3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxy— pheny1)methylidene】hydrazide methanol(C 14HIoBr2N203・CH3OH),has been synthesized by the condensation of equimolar 3,5一dibromosalicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxybenzoic acid hydrazide in a methanol solution.The compound was characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectra,and single— crystal X-ray difraction.The compound consists of a Schif base moiety 2-hydroxybenzoic acid [1-(3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxypheny1)methylidene]hydrazide and a lattice methanol molecule.The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system,space group P21/n with a=7.183(I),b=15.673(2),c 15.001(2)A, =98.345(2)。,Z=4,V=1670.9(4)A ,Dc=1.773 g/cm , =446.10,2(MoKa): 0.71073 A, =4.872 mm~,F(ooo)=880,R=0.0458 and w尺=0.0963.A total of 3445 unique reflections were collected,of which 2236 with』>20(/)were observed.As expected,the molecule adopts a trans configuration about the C=N double bond.The two benzene rings are nearly coplanar (mean deviation from the combined plane is 0.06 1(4)A),with the dihedral angle of 7.9(3)。.The preliminary biological tests show that the compound h moderate antibacterial activities. Keywords:Schif base,acylhydrazone,crystal structure,antibacterial activity l INTRoDUCTIoN Schif base ligands have played an important role in the development of coordination chemistry as they can readily form stable complexes with most metal ions[1--41.These complexes are very interesting in many fields。such as catalysis and enzymatic reac— tions[5‘61.magnetism and molecu1ar architectures[7~9。. However,to the best of our knowledge,the com— plexes derived from the Schif base 2-hydroxyben— zoic acid[1-(3,5-dibromo一2-hydroxypheny1)methy— lidene1hydrazide have been seldom reported.Know- ledge on the structure of the title Schif base ligand will help us understand the interactions in the molecule so as to further design and synthesize com- plexes derived from this ligand.Furthermore,studies on the antibacterial activities of such compounds may help us evaluate their potential medical appli- cations.We report herein the synthesis,crystal structure。and antibacterial activities of the Schif base compound derived from the condensation of equimolar 3,5-dibromosalicylaldehyde and 2-hydro- xybenzoic acid hydrazide in a methanol solution. 2 EXPERIMENTAL
