教学目标

1.To draw students' attention to the Unit objectives.

2.To warm up the topic of the Unit--Hero.

3.Students can use positive and negative adjective to describe character.

4.To practice extensive reading in order to understand the main idea of each paragraph

and guess the meaning of new words from the text.

5.To use time linkers, especially adverbs and conjunctions.

6.To revise the use of Past Simple and Past Continuous.

Listening to and practicing the new words and expressions;

Group work in taking about hero in your mind;

Fast reading to get the main idea of the text;

Guided intensive reading to get specific information;

Pair work and group work.

学情分析

From this lesson ,students can role play an interview between Yang Liwei and a

reporter with the reporter asking what happened ,

what Yang Liwei did and how he felt

重点难点

To practice extensive reading in order to understand the main idea of each paragraph;

To guess the meaning of new words from the text;

To use time linkers ,especially adverbs and conjunctions.

【导入】Warming up

Show 4 group pictures about heroes of different areas, ask the students to say the

name of each hero.

ask the student to use one word to describe this kind of person

answer :they are both heroes

ask the students to use one adjective to summarize some sharing characteristics of

heroes.

write those adjective on the blackboard

【导入】Activity

Show the picture of Yang Liwei and sak the students to say the name of him

Show some basic information about Yang Liwei and ask :"could you find some big

differences between Yang Liwei and us according to the information here?"

Answer : No

Then ask the student to think about the question :What makes Yang Liwei a hero?

Answer :space travel

Say :Do you want to know more about the space travel of Yang? please open your

book , turn to page 22,and look at the passage National Hero

【讲授】Listening and Reading

Ask students to listen the passage silently and do exercise4.ask the students to find

the main idea of the whole passage while listening 第 2 页 The answer :e d f c a b

Then let the students look at some pictures to know the Shen Zhou how to flight

Picture A:The Shen Zhou V liffted off in jiuquan

Picture B:soaring into the sky

Picture C:separated from rocket

Picture D:circled 14 times

picture F &G :In the space, Yang spoke with his wife and son, showing the flags of

China and United Nations

Picture H:the space landed in Inner Mongolia

Picture I:welcome by people

【练习】Exercise and free talk

let students fill in the summary of the text ,and the let one student say his answer.

let students talk about what can we learn from Yang Liwei?
