英语习语漫谈1.give me a hand美国人经常说:"Give me a hand."
3.blow outWe arrived two hours late at the big blow-out for Charle's birthday because our car had a blow-out.
I was lucky when I went to the flea market today. In the middle of all the worthless junk I found a carved jade Chinese snuff bottle and bought it for five dollars: the seller didn't know what it was."
下⾯就是⼀个例⼦:"For me a flea market is a sad place--all those memories of the past: stuff that used to be precious to people who have died or grown old or just moved away."

例如:英语an eagle eye或eyes like a hawk(鹰眼或鹰似的眼睛)指人的目光锐利,这种比喻和汉语相同,但an eagle eye还指"密切注视",如:keep an eagle eye on his wife(对他的妻子十分关注)。
Tom was casting sheep's eye at the pretty girl he met.(汤姆向碰到的漂亮姑娘抛媚眼)。
bull's eye(或bull's-eye公牛的眼睛)有很多意思,但都不指人,而是指事物。
