Write some different tenses of sentences on the blackboard . Have students say what tenses they are . At the same time get them to say the time adverbial .

1)We form the simple past form by adding –ed to regular verbs . Tell them some forming ways of regular verbs .
2)We form the past tense of irregular verbs differently . We do not add – ed .
Have them see the forms on page 61 .Make sure they understand the ways and how to read them .
