With the worldwide development of economic globalization cultural communication and cultural collision become more and frequently. We meet an issue of cultural diversity and cultural integration while developing our cultural. Well, when it comes to me, I support cultural diversity. First of all, culture is a very significant essential that makes one nation be original and be identifiable. When we talk about ancient civilization, we think about China ;when we talk about fashion, we think about France; when we talk about films, we think about America. Different nations have their own distinct culture. Second, it is cultural diversity that makes our world multicultural and vivid. We should promote cultural diversity and adhere to our essential culture. We shouldn’t imitate others’culture slavishly, which will sterilize our creation. Here I want to tell a story. More than 2000 years ago, there lived a young man. One day he heard that people in Handan walked gracefully. He went to Handan and learned from children, old people, women there how to walk. Half a month later, he even forgot how to walk, and back home by crawling. How lamentable! We can’t repeat the same mistake on the way of developing our culture. However, devoting cultural diversity doesn’t mean that we can abandon all of other nation’s culture. On the one hand, we must be obliged to protect our own special aspects of culture. On the other hand, we cannot belittle the importance of the cultures that come from other countries. Among countless factors that influence the culture, now I will give two conspicuous points to explain the reasons.As is known to all of us, our country has a long history and the intelligent Chinese created various kinds of cultures, such as the Spring Festival, the chinaware and silk, and the traditional morality. These are what we should inherit and carry forward. Chinese culture became our symbol. Wherever we go and whatever we do, we show what our tradition conduct us to do. So we can’t ignore the essential of our culture. Only if we maintain our culture, China can stand among the countries’forest in the world.In addition, it will be a great loss if we look down upon the other’s culture. I will give you two examples. The first one is that, in the 20th century, China was in the domination of the feudal monarchy. But if the patriots who had educated at abroad brought back the advanced ideas, old china couldn’t been saved from the dark period. And what you can consider about in the second example is that, the adults now already can’t get rid of the TV programs in Korea or America. We must admit that there are some fields in other countries’ culture s which are worth learning, such as the opening thoughts and the sprint of innovation.In a word, we gradually step on the way of culture diversity. And what we should do? On one side we should discard the dross and select the essence in our culture, and on another side we should open our eyes to the whole world and collect their good qualities. In these ways, I believe our country will have solid national strength and people will enjoy richer lives.。
