I am a person keen on challenges. Law will provide me with the kind of constant challenge I have always craved, while helping me to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. Also my concern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue this subject for my higher education, as I believe Law plays an essential role in the changing nature of society. My upbringing has honed my perception of society and people leading me to be acutely aware of social injustice, inequality, exploitation, discrimination, and religious fundamentalism, especially in a society such as the one I come from - Bangladesh. I possess a desire, to struggle if necessary through my life in establishing a society which will be free from exploitation and inequality. As such, I have chosen to study Law,for I believe the proper implementation of Law is the only potent weapon to obliterate injustice. I believe throughout the history of the world, working classes have been deceived by the upper class bourgeoisie and the elites - my ultimate goal in life is to establish the rights of the socially deprived classes. I always have wondered why Law has not been used to raise the voice of the working class, and why it has been used to safeguard the interests of people who are exploiting. I seek a new definition of human rights –the true definition, without exploitation and corruption colouring the notion. My greatest wonder is why our society and the legal system,do not point out economicexploitation as an abuse of human rights; for it is the root of poverty, which elicits crime. If the creation of Law is to curb injustice, why has it not been used to eradicate this injustice?Taking law as a subject for higher education will hopefully help me find answers to my questions, and will teach me the proper method of implementation.I am someone who is passionate to evaluate problems. I am not an extremist but I do not hesitate to resort to radical measures if the situation forces it. I believe, in a society, co-operation is more desired than competition;competition doesn’t necessarily bring rapid prosperity. I adhere to a socialistic political ideology, and aim to devote myself in establishing true socialism. I am from a country, which has been subject to military dictatorship for over twenty years after her independence. My political consciousness grew during the time, when my father was imprisoned by the military just because he was a leader of a political party who opposed military regime. Police and military jointly ran a brutal campaign throughout the country to repress politicians, where they imprisoned and sometimes killed thousands of students, politicians, professionals, workers, and even soldiers. These incidents severely affected my family, making my childhood a turbulent time. After the military regime failed, a western style democratic political structure was set up, which gave nothing, yet increased the discontent of the masses, and created some elites, who virtually control the country. Wealth and power both are centralized to them, law is a puppet in their hand, and they control everything, from economy to politics. Millions of people live below the poverty level, and there is nobody, not one strong and resilient political party to represent them. Extremeform of capitalism has taken over our country’s social and human values, and morality is at the brink of extinction. Corruption is everywhere, human rights abuses are innumerable, political repression is paramount, money is power and power is everything. This indisciplined violent condition of my country created a rebellious nature within me that is why I have set my ambition to restructure the socio-political structure of my country in a radical way. I would like to utilize the knowledge I acquire from my life at university and beyond to clarify and show me the proper way of implementation of my thoughts.I have proved myself as an efficient and responsible student through primary and secondary school,I have been able to maintain and improve my grades, which are consistently good. Currently I am undertaking A’ levels in History, Government & Politics, and Bengali. Being an ambitious and inquisitive person, even after completing a Foundation Programme with an overall A grade,I have chosen to do three A’ levels in one year to study in one of the top British universities. History has always fascinated me; though this is the first time I am studying this subject in detail. In Government & Politics, I am learning about the procedures of law making and the system of politics and government in different countries. Languages have always been of interest to me,and my favoured loyalty is to my mother tongue - Bengali.I have spent my time productively on extra curricular activities. I have keenly taken part in debating, student politics and acting in television dramas. I headed my school’s debating society for one year and independently achieved many prizes in speech competitions at local and national levels. My hobbiesinclude reading, playing cricket and table tennis, web browsing, etc.The principal reason for my desire to study at UK is the quality of teaching here and particularly in my chosen subject,Law. I also find exciting the prospect of joining a university hee with international flavours and exceptional research facilities. I believe University is a place for accumulating more interests, for meeting people, for working hard, for finding a niche in life. I feel I have the commitment and confidence of giving my best during my university career and afterwards。
Law Personal StatementI promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.Years of developing my intellectual capacity for my academic interests, wanting to hold privilege jobs and leadership positions in the future, I have a sense of purpose and unwavering dedication in doing the most with the opportunities available.Lawyers have been my enduring inspiration. The present world is a very complex place and some, who do not recognise the inner workings of a system can be bowled over onto the right track by someone who knows the ropes better- the Lawyers- the experts at navigating the confusing day-to-day living. Minute adjustments in the position and condition of the corpse might prove to be conclusive as to client's innocence or guilt in a murder investigation. Law is plunging into depth of detail, and for me, it would be captivating to work in an area where I can make a positive impact upon people.I have a well-established record of outstanding success in extra-curricular activities, causing my achievements to become more credible. Having worked at a city firm of solicitors, specialising in commercial litigation, conveyancing and matrimonial Law, it gave me a usefulinsight into not just the ordinary and routine aspects of work for Lawyers but how Law is applied and the legal process in practice.I observed client consultations, I had an attempt to draft legal documents and largely, proofreading various letters. In addition, I have visited a number of cases at the Crown, Magistrates and County Courts at available time as a reflection of my deep and passionate interest. I am a regular reader of "The Lawyer" and currently at No. 3 on the leaderboard at for my "Lawyer instinct". I have attended an intensive PreLaw course in Oxford, run by a team of barristers and solicitors. This enlightened me to the complexities, yet the benefits of pursuing a Law degree; presenting legal and ethical dilemmas, the cross-examination and the life of a Lawyer.Alongside my enthusiasm for the Law, I have committed to numerous, Law-related activities within my Sixth-Form College, such as, participating in the Debating Society, the National Youth Parliament and lastly, proposing a position as the prosecuting barrister in the National Bar Mock Trial Competition. I have alsospoken to the Polish President which was an intriguing experience. I find myself a successful student in education, and in enrichments. However, I wish to increase this extensive variety of activities and experience a mini-pupillage.My non-academic interests scope from Bharatnatyam dancing (Indian Classical dancing) to reading fiction. I also take pleasure in swimming from an early age, playing the piano and attending drama club, all of which has taught me to become a social individual as well as a highly determined student.Currently studying a wide range of A-Level courses will enable me to become an all-rounded Lawyer. Mathematics increases my logic, Sociology helps me understand the workings of the social system around us, Chemistry gives me analytical, scientific and practical skills and lastly, the English Language course sharpens my written and oral skills. For no one, no matter how self-sufficient and academically gifted, it is not easy to go through the toughness of being a Lawyer. Having the aptitude to cope, I believe I will be a thriving woman for this upcoming generation in the Law. Unlike many applicants of the Law, I have acknowledged the drawbacks of what I am delving into from first-hand experience and research I have acquired, to make a well-informed decision. However, it had strengthened my resolve to read Law, rather than to retreat. In the end, life is not about aiming for perfection. It is about how my accomplishments can benefit the lives of others, and prevailing in even the most difficult of circumstances in order to realise the true rewarding feeling that's greatly satisfying.Has the jury reached a verdict?。

英国大学法律专业个人陈述范文Law Personal Statement 法律专业个人陈述(PS)范文English, being the most diverse language in the world in terms of vocabulary range and one of the most heavily influenced by other cultures, makes for fascinating study and usage.Drawing influences from Celtic, West Germanic dialects, Latin, Greek and French to name but a few make the English language riveting both in terms of use and etymology. The almost ambiguous way writers can create texts that can evoke completely opposite emotions with the same language. Shakespeare created an initially pitiable character of Macbeth and transformed him into a detestable shell of humanity. Whereas, Bront created Jane Eyre who you genuinely empathised with. The ability to construct these characters and real emotions from words is truly amazing. The ability to express yourself clearly and concisely is important in any course and work of life and my part time work in the garden centre Dobbies has helped develop my communication skills. This involved working with customers often in problematic situations, listening, explaining and solving problems or queries they may have. This also involved working with and around other employees which has developed my team working skills. I have also been given the opportunity to help train a new employee by having them shadow with me,this involved a large amount of communication between myself andthe new member of staff as the learning curve is at times rather steep. This too shows the trust my employers have in my competence of work. For years I have played rugby at various levels, from school and club to district. In S2 playing with West of Scotland and winning the Scottish Championship with myself being awarded Man of the Match. The responsibility of playing at a high level has taught me the importance and ability of effective teamwork and when need be the aptitude to exercise confident leadership.I have in recent months, in my spare time began to teach myself British Sign Language through resources from the internet and material from local libraries. This challenges my time keeping as, although, I have a strong willingness to learn but have to balance my learning around other work for school and activities.Slightly over a year ago,18 other pupils and I were involved in an expedition to Peru. This was funded by a year of fundraising, the extra work required greatly developed my determination and resolve to achieve my goals. The charity work completed on our expedition included the construction of a new room for a school in a small village called Cachicatta. This work contributed to my progress of attaining my Millennium Volunteer Silver Award which the voluntary work in Peru has contributed to.Sports, other than rugby, play a large part in my life. I enjoy running recreationally but have previously I have competed at a high level in athletics competing for a Scottish Pentathlon team against England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales. I too enjoy Judo;although relatively new to the sport I find the challenge of learning greatly enjoyable.Music is important to my life, both listening and playing. I play both electric and acoustic guitar both at a fairly moderatelevel. I too enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and support many artists both local and well established.。
Undergraduate GPA: 3.0LSAT: 163Applied to FloridaStateUniversity.Accepted.Sometimes, it takes years to discover what you are really good at; some folks know right away. You've read the statements of countless applicants who have a story about their lifelong love of law and their desire to continue the legacies of their fathers, but my story is not one of those. My story begins with a seed, a fortune cookie, which, at the time I opened it was like some kind of bad joke. "You would make a good lawyer." Living in bohemian New Orleans as a creative writing major, I cracked open my cookie, read these words, and considered it a cosmic insult. I did not recognize until years later—after having worked several years in the legislative arena—the eerie prescience of the cookie's message. When I could no longer afford my tuition at Loyola University New Orleans, I relocated to Tallahassee, and FloridaStateUniversity, in order to take advantage of the available Bright Futures money and in-state tuition. As a student in Tallahassee, I had not spent a great deal of time considering what went on inside the gigantic Capitol building or theother bland government buildings downtown. I was a poet, trained in creative writing; however, as you may be aware, employment in the field is hard to come by, particularly in a town the size of Tallahassee, and so I accepted a position at the Clerk's Office of the Florida House after graduation. It is dumb luck that I found an available editing job, as they, too, are in short supply. I considered myself in much better shape than most of my creative writing peers, in that I was being hired into a position in which I would be encouraged—required, even!—to use one or two of the skills I had acquired in college. I was well aware that English majors often accepted the first salaried office job they were offered, regardless of what paper-pushing drudgery it represented. I was lucky.I didn't know my editing job would turn into anything more than that. At first, I considered it a placeholder. This was 2003. The position was temporary, scheduled to last for just one legislative session. The Master Plan was to earn that paycheck while looking for a more creative position, but as John Lennon observed, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Luckily, the Florida Legislature had several special sessions in 2003, which extended my temporary position long enough for me to realize the huge opportunity I had been given and my ability to excel in the field; seeing the behind-the-scenes work that goes into producing quality legislation gave me a deep respect for the goodthat government can do, when enabled by capable public servants. When a higher-level position opened up, I applied. I moved fast. I was promoted repeatedly, eventually becoming the editorial supervisor in the Office of the Clerk. My work is tedious—some might say "mundane," but I would not—and requires a meticulous and analytical mind. Supervising the production of the legal record of the Florida House, the Journal, demands attention to detail not common in most office work. I have found joy in the precision of my work, becoming increasingly fascinated with the intricacies of legal writing and research. My mind has always been one given to curiosity and problem-solving. Crossword puzzles and word games alone once sated me; as an adult, I have grown to appreciate statutory and constitutional puzzles for their complexity and for the mere fact that there may be multiple acceptable solutions, if those solutions are argued competently. I have come to understand that one may express creativity and passion in ways that have nothing to do with art.My creative writing skills have been put to good use in my career, however. In 2006, when Clerk [xxxxx] retired his position and the Office of the Clerk was split in two parts, my unit was moved and housed under the newly created Office of the Parliamentarian. The loss of Mr. [xxxxx]'sleadership was a strain on the office; however, my new work situation created another opportunity for me. My new direct supervisor, Parliamentarian [yyyyyyy], recognized and employed my ability to communicate ideas effectively. He allowed me to participate heavily in the writing of several publications. The most daunting of these is Principles, Practices & Priorities: A Handbook on Parliamentary Practice in the Florida House of Representatives, which explores not only the practices of the Legislature, but also the intersections the Legislature must necessarily have with the other branches of Florida's government. The project required extensive research and fact-checking, in addition to writing and editing, and through this process, I expanded my understanding and appreciation of the Florida Constitution. Completion of the Principles book was pivotal for my professional career, because the research I did in order to flesh out this book revealed my desire to participate more fully in the process of government. While I had begun my career with the Florida House in 2003 as a recent college graduate just trying to get a paycheck and blend in, by 2006, a larger picture had started to emerge and I began to see myself as a valuable part of that picture. The study of law represents a three-way intersection at which the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government meet; I amdrawn to this convergence. To better understand the work I have been doing for the past six years, I must approach this work from a different angle. Where I sit, at my desk, I can see some things that a law student might not see: I am involved in and understand the engrossing of amendments into bills, my grasp of parliamentary practice is sound, I have a deep respect for the necessity of preserving official documents and records, I have direct experience working with others in an office setting. But these qualities do not give me a complete view of how law works. I can see how a bill is perfected over time and I can evaluate the arguments of those who have interest in the bill, but I cannot intimately understand how the statute enacted in the bill might impact the real world. Such understanding is vital if one is to even consider drafting a bill. Repeatedly, the Representatives who impress me with their grasp of the effects and consequences of new laws (or changes to laws) are those who are attorneys or who have studied law. Yes, a Representative who is a farmer is likely to understand the effects of a bill relating to agriculture; however, a Representative who is an attorney has a broader picture than others, because he or she has had direct interaction with the laws previous Legislatures have enacted. I seek a broad philosophical understanding of how laws interact with one another and how, through their interpretation in courts, govern a society.I am applying for admission to the Florida State University College of Law in order to gain the formal training required to practice law in the state of Florida in the service of the public. I believe my background and experiences make me a competitive candidate, particularly when compared to more recent college graduates. My work experience has given me a solid foundation upon which to build. I am intimately acquainted with long hours and difficult work; legislative sessions are quite demanding, often requiring that I work many 16-hour days consecutively. I have achieved a high level of personal confidence by producing quality work on a consistent basis and have developed the maturity and focus required of a successful first-year law student. Additionally, my experience in writing, editing, and managing the production of publications has caused me to value precise language as an effective communication tool. I urge you to take these unique qualities into consideration when determining the makeup of your 2009 first-year class.I am not superstitious nor do I believe a fortune cookie has the power to predict or determine the future. An idea: You would make a good lawyer. It is a seed that I am asking you to let grow. I will do the work. I need you to allow me to plant the seed.。

英国留学个人陈述英文法学As someone who has always been fascinated by the intricacies of law and its role in society, I have decided to pursue my studies in law in the United Kingdom. My passion for law and its impact on society has been ignited by my experiences as an international relations student, where I was exposed to the dynamics of the global community and the importance of international law in maintaining peace and justice.Growing up in a family of lawyers, I have always been aware of the transformative power of law and its ability to shape the world around us. This understanding has been reinforced by my exposure to land disputes in my home country, which have made me aware of the importance of a strong legal system in resolving conflicts and ensuring equitable outcomes. My interest in law is not limited to its practical application in resolving disputes, but also extends to its role in shaping public policy and societal norms. I have always been keen to explore the philosophical underpinnings of law and its relationship with morality and ethics. Through my academic pursuits, I have had the opportunity to explore these topics in both a theoretical and practical context. My academic achievements in the field of law are a testament to my commitment and passion for the discipline. I have completed numerous courses in introduction to law, constitutional law and international law. One of the highlights of my academic journey was representing my university in a moot court competition, where I had the opportunity to present arguments on a complex legal casein front of a panel of judges.Studying law in the UK would provide me with the opportunity to immerse myself in a legal system that is renowned for its excellence and has a global influence. I am particularly drawn to the UK's common law system, which is based on judicial precedents and the principles of equity and fairness. The UK's rich legal history and its impact on the world's legal systems make it an ideal destination for studying law.In addition to its academic rigour, the UK offers a multicultural and diverse society, which I believe will provide me with a rich and unique perspective on law and its role in society. I am particularly interested in the UK's efforts to promote access to justice and diversity in the legal profession. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of a legal system that is just and equitable, particularly in developing countries. I believe that studying law in the UK would equip me with the skills, knowledge and exposure required to achieve this goal.In conclusion, I am excited about the prospect of studying law in the UK and the opportunities it presents for personal and professional growth. I am confident that my academic achievements, passion for the discipline and desire to make a positive impact will make me a valuable addition to any UK law school.。
Personal statements
Veni, Vidi, Vici. This is an attitude both Julius Caesar and I shared for every task that has been put in front of me. Whether I am on stage or on the parade square I aim to be the best.
Law has been a subject that has interested me ever since I was in Grade 8 and a lawyer gave a presentation for Careers Day. Although at that time I had not understood the specifics of Law I was drawn to the idea of defending the constitutional rights of the people. As time passed I began to look more into Law and how the rights of people were being infringed. At this moment I had understood that this was not right and the idea of being able to defend individuals that could not defend themselves in a court of law struck very close to my heart. In Grade 11 I took an introductory course to Canadian Law and this had further allowed my interest to thrive. Another aspect of litigation that interested me was the in-court procedure. My passion for this came from debating, which I have been involved in since my first year of high school. I believe as a Lawyer one must be the best one can be in order to defend the person one is representing honestly. A Bachelor of Laws would enable me to help people.
England’s attraction to me is the wealth of history and remarkably interesting lifestyle yet still in English although I am fluent in Russian and have an advanced proficiency in French. Apart from this, the idea of studying Common Law, which is used in all Commonwealth countries at the root of its creation, seems like the wisest choice.
As the Royal Canadi an Army Cadet motto says “Acer Acerpori” which means “As the Maple, So the Sapling.” This year is my fourth as a member of the 162nd Cadet Corps, which is currently and has been for some time the largest in Canada. This year I hold the appointment of Regimental Sergeant Major with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, my position within the corps is very vital and my main responsibility is the drill, dress and deportment of the cadets within the corps. I also hold other positions of responsibility within my school such as my tenure of house captainship, which
entrusts me to look after the well being of the boys in my house as well as other managerial activities within the house. In line with my dedication to extra curricular activities I also a member of the Chapel Servers Guild, the Chapel Readers Guild and the Chapel Choir. A major part of my extra curricular activities would be my immersion in theatre; I have been in many shows including one that went on tour in England and a Cappies Niagara award winning show in which I personally received an award for. My most recent role was John Proctor in the Crucible. I was also on the Varsity Track & Field Team. Apart from these I participated in many other extra curricular activities. Nevertheless I also place value in education whether that be in class or extracurricular as I have gone to Cambridge in the summers of 2009 and 2010 for three weeks and have finished credited courses there.
With the skills that I have amassed through my various scholastic and extra scholastic achievements and experiences I strongly believe that Law is the subject for me and that I could be my very best because of my competitive nature in Law and studying in England would open up experiences, opportunities and memories so beneficial that I would not be able to get them anywhere else on this earth.。
