Sample answer for IELTS Speaking Part 2 (Cue Card): Describe a time when someone showed you kindness. You should say:- When and where it happened- Who showed you kindness- How they showed kindness- And explain why you think this act of kindness was important to you.One incident that immediately comes to mind when I think about kindness happened during my university years. It was a chilly winter afternoon, around two years ago, and I was walking on campus feeling exhausted and stressed due to a heavy workload. As I entered the library, I noticed a classmate of mine, David, who I barely knew, sitting alone at a table.Without hesitation, David stood up, approached me, and offered me his seat. I was taken aback by his kind gesture, as he barely knew me and could have easily ignored my presence. I gratefully accepted his offer, and we started talking about our courses, professors, and our plans for the upcoming semester. Throughout our conversation, David showed genuine interest and empathy, actively listening and offering advice. This act of kindness was important to me for several reasons. Firstly, it provided me with a much-needed break and gave me the opportunity to relax and gather my thoughts. Secondly, it showed me that there are compassionate people willing to help even in small ways, and this itself boosted my faith in humanity. Lastly, itfostered a lasting friendship between David and me. We started studying together, sharing notes, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of academic life. This incident left a lasting impact on me, as it reminded me of the power of a simple act of kindness. It taught me to be more aware of the people around me and to extend help whenever I can. It also reinforced the notion that small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in someone's day or even their life. This experience has stayed with me, and I often try to emulate David's kindness by helping others in need, as I know firsthand the positive impact it can have.。
1 describe a park 2 describe a painting 3 describe a local event

Describe a person who is your friendWho he/she isWhat he/she looks likeWhat he/she doesExplain why you like this person在这个话题中,我们可以发现雅思口语的第二部分总共具有4个问题。
Who this person is?
I have lots of good friends. But speaking of my best friend, I think it is…….

I don’t know exactly about his real name, but because he likes smiling, we call him “Mr. Smile”.Mr. Smile is a man of medium build with short, silver hair and healthy complexion. What’s special about him is that he has a pair of pretty big ears which makes him look very funny. As an easy-going and optimistic old man, Mr. Smile usually impresses others a lot by his hearty laughter. To some young people like me, his words are always convincing and inspiring.Mr.Smile used to study in Tokyo, Japan for more than 10 years. And then he came back to Australia when he was 35. Because he was living in Japan, he is really good at cooking Japanese food, like sushi and Udon. I was invited to share his cooking before, and I was so surprised with his sushi. Besides, he is a creative person who always offers some brand new ideas for the development of his company. He tends to break through the rule created by himself, and explore some new areas. I am not sure if you heard about Microsoft’s new product: Windows 8 which would provide users a totally new experience. It is Bill Gates who leads the revolution of this project.According to the recent news, Bill Gates decides to leave all his fortune to his charity foundation. It’s a medium-sized room with a large French window that overlooks the big garden in front of my house. Standing beside the window and watching the kids playing around the garden is a kind of fun in my everyday life. The room had been decorated well when I moved in. I pick the light blue paint, coz the light colour can increase the feeling of space. What’s more, it was also my favourite colour that represents ocean and sky. So every time when I stayed in my bedroom. I like feel quite relaxed and cozy.Actually, there were not many furniture inside my room, just a bed, a bookshelf and a computer desk and chair. O yeah, I also have got a sofa there which can provide more seating when I have many visitors. On the wall, there are some photos recording every different place I have been. And it’s also pretty close to my house I am living.Caulfield Park has about 1000 square metres so basically it can be easily identified on the Google map online. In the centre of the park, there is a rounded lake, namely Caulfield Lake. The water of the lake is so limpid that you can see the rocks on bottom of the lake. If it is a breezy and sunny day, the waterbecomes rippling and sparkling. In summer, standing beside it and watching the ducks swimming on the lake is a kind of fun of my everyday life.Around the lake, there are also heaps of tall trees which are the paradise of parrots. As well as it, some flowers, such like roses, lilies bloom along the footpath. This place is so peaceful, just like a window on another world. It was a cypress that has more than 400 years of history. My father suggested taking a photo under it. Certainly I said yes. Therefore, I have this picture. I remember clearly the first time that I have been there. I was in the orientation week, some senior students showed us, fresh guys, around to visit the library. I was so shocked by its large scale. There are 5 floors in the building, and 3 in the wings. The most fantastic part inside the library is the hall located on the ground floor. It is very spacious with a couple of glass curtain walls. Standing beside the window and watching the young men playing around the large square in front of the library is a kind of fun every time when I go to the library.Besides, with a collection of over 2 million volumes, the library is popular with students from a wide range of field. What is more, the modem computer and network technologies help students easier to access online information of library. The library opens every day except for public holidays but their online services are available 24 hours a day. Something expensive you bought / something you want to buyA lot of people have a list of something they tend to purchase. I have no exception. I’m glad to talk about the expensive stuff I have bought: iPhone. iPhone is a newly developed electronic device created by Apple. Every time Apple releases the new models of iphone, the super fans start lining up in front of Apple store couple days earlier. But I have to say it is well worth thiswaiting. It is light and slim and normally in white and black. It also has a 4 inch touch screen which is pretty gorgeous. But I think the major reason why so many people are crazy about it is its amazing operation system called iOS. With the iOS, Calling friends is not the only thing you could do on iPhone. You can download vast number of APPs from app store online, covering almost every aspect of our daily life. It is has a tall tail and with gorgeous colours of feather: green, blue and red.Later on, Uncle Lee told me that parrots are good at mimicking human sounds. After finishing all 12 questions, you may have one or two extra, and if you manage to hit the answer, then you win the grand award which is a journey to Hawaii. This show is always appealing to me as the host is so smart and funny. As you know, there are huge of number of national parks in Australia. But in my eyes, the ideal site must be in the wood, under a big tree, a running creek nearby.I would travel with my friends who are also crazy about outdoor activities. During the daytime, we can find a proper place as I mentioned, and settle down. Besides, we may do some cooking by using the portable gas cooker. Of course, it wouldn’t be a big meal, u know, just some noodle stuff. At night, we like to throw a party, such as singing songs, drinking bears, playing games. On top of it, enjoying the stars is a perfect entertainment as well.Camping is an effective way to escape from pressure of modern life.
