Thanksgiving Origin
The pilgrims left England on September 6, 1620 and arrived in America in late November.
When they arrived they were unprepared for such a harsh Winter. Because of this many of them died before Spring.
On thanksgiving Americans gather together with their families and have a big feast! This feast will typically include Turkey, sweet potato, gravy and pumpkin pie for dessert.
