四年级下册英语书外研版三年级起点全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Experience with the "Go for It!" English TextbookHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 4th grader here to share my thoughts on the English textbook we use called "Go for It!" It's published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and is meant for students starting English in 3rd grade. When I first got this textbook in 3rd grade, I was really excited but also a bit nervous. English was a brand new subject for me, and I didn't know what to expect. But as soon as I opened up the book, I loved the colorful pictures and fun characters like Lulu the dog. The lessons seemed engaging right from the start. Each unit in the textbook focuses on a different topic that's relevant to our daily lives as kids. There are units about friends, family, animals, holidays and more. I really enjoyed learning the vocabulary and conversation patterns related to these familiar themes. The textbook makes it feel like English is useful for talking about my own experiences. What I like most are the cute cartoons and illustrations throughout the lessons. They make everything so vibrant and appealing. There are pictures demonstrating the key sentences and dialogs, which makes them easier to understand and remember. The illustrations also add some humor that makes me smile while I'm studying.Another great feature are the songs and chants included in many of the units. They're so catchy and fun to sing along with! Singing the songs has really helped me practice pronunciation and memorize vocabulary. Sometimes my mom jokes that I've been singing too much English around the house. The textbook provides lots of opportunities to practice the language too, not just learn it. There are activity sections with engaging exercises like word searches, unscrambling sentences, short answer questions and more. My favorite are the funrole-play activities where we can pretend to have conversations using the language patterns we just learned.Of course, no textbook is perfect. While the topics are interesting overall, a few units weren't as relatable or engaging for me personally. I also think some of the vocabulary lists could be updated with more modern, useful words for today's world. But these are pretty minor issues.Overall, I've had a very positive experience using "Go for It!" over the past two years. The textbook does an excellent job of making English feel welcome, accessible and practical through its content and teaching approach. The clear explanations, entertaining stories, eye-catching design and diverse activities have helped me build solid language skills.I'm now much more confident understanding and using basic English. I can engage in simple conversations, read moderately difficult texts, and write short paragraphs. None of this would have been possible without the strong foundation provided by "Go for It!" Thank you, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, for creating such a wonderful beginner's English textbook!Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue my English studies in 4th grade and beyond. While "Go for It!" helped me take my first steps, I know there is still so much more to learn about this global language. I'm ready to "go for it" and work hard to become an English master! Maybe I'll even write the next great English textbook someday. Who knows?篇2My Fourth Grade English Textbook: Go for it! 4BEnglish class has always been one of my favorite subjects at school. I find learning a new language really fascinating and fun. This year in fourth grade, we are using the textbook "Go for it! 4B" published by People's Education Press. It's part of the "Go for it!" series which our school has been using since third grade. The textbook has 8 units, each with two reading passages, followed by vocabulary, grammar points, and various exercises. At the end of each unit, there are also self-check sections to review what we've learned. Compared to the previous books, the reading passages are longer and the grammar is more advanced.Unit 1 was about festivals around the world. The first passage introduced different festivals like Chinese New Year, Germany's Oktoberfest, and India's Diwali festival. It had some challenging words but also really cool pictures. The second reading was a comic-style story about a boy named Jack who was celebrating his birthday. I enjoyed reading the comic dialogues out loud with my classmates. My favorite unit so far has been Unit 4 which taught us about animals. One passage described the unique traits of different creature groups like mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. But the best part was the second pas sage about the Galápagos Islands. It was a travel journal written by a student who went on atrip there and saw amazing wildlife like giant tortoises, marine iguanas, and blue-footed boobies. The descriptions were so vivid that I felt like I was on the islands too! After that unit, I decided I definitely want to become an environmental scientist when I grow up to help protect animals.Of course, no textbook is perfect. Some of the exercise styles can feel a bit repetitive after a while, like filling in blanks or matching definitions to vocabulary words. And the grammar explanations use quite a lot of metalanguage terms that aren't always easy for fourth graders to understand. But overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this book. The topics are engaging, the readings expose us to different text types, and the activities provide good practice. In English class, our teacher Mrs. Wang is extremely supportive and makes the lessons fun with lots of games,role-plays, and group work. She also relates the topics to our lives and encourages us to share our personal experiences. Whenever I have a question, she patiently explains it until I understand. With her guidance and this well-designed textbook, I can feel my English comprehension and communication abilities improving day by day.Looking ahead, I'm excited to finish the remaining units which cover themes like transportation, entertainment, and inventions. By the end of fourth grade, I hope to solidify my grammar knowledge of areas like tenses, conditionals, and relative clauses. I also want to keep expanding my vocabulary and practice my English through avenues like storybooks, movies, and writing journals. Who knows, maybe I'll even become an English teacher myself some day and get to use this very same textbook series! For now, I'll just go for it and continue my journey of becoming an English master.篇3My Fourth Grade English TextbookThis year in 4th grade, we started using a brand new English textbook called "PEP English" Volume 2. It's the continuation from the Volume 1 book we used last year in 3rd grade. I really like this textbook series! The book has 8 units, and each unit has 4 sections: Learn the Story, Learn the Sentences, Learn About the World, and Use What You've Learned. I'll walk you through what each section is like.Learn the StoryThis part introduces a new story along with some key vocabulary words. The stories are really engaging and funny! One story was about a girl named Amy who was trying to decide what vegetable to grow in her garden. Another one was about a magic forest with talking animals. The stories have wonderful illustrations that make me want to dive right into the imaginary worlds. As we read along, we learn the definition and pronunciation of new words highlighted in the story. Words like "scrambled eggs" or "vine." Our teacher has us repeat the words after her. After reading the story, there are some activities to check our understanding, like putting vocabulary words into the correct sentences. I feel like I'm learning so many new English words through these fun stories!Learn the SentencesHere we take a closer look at the grammar from the story. We might learn about using "there is/are" to describe things, or how to make sentences with conjunctions like "and" or "but."The book gives really clear explanations along with example sentences highlighting the grammar point. Then we practice making our own sentences following the examples. Sometimeswe do this through filling in blanks, unscrambling words, or translation exercises.I used to find grammar kind of boring, but this textbook makes it easier by connecting it to the stories we just read. The practice activities are varied too, which keeps things from getting too repetitive.Learn About the WorldThis section is one of my favorites! It introduces us to really fascinating topics related to the culture and daily life of kids in English-speaking countries. For instance, one lesson was about after-school activities like sports, music, art classes that are popular in the UK and US. I learned some new vocabulary for activities I'd never heard of, like "archery" and "fencing." There were pictures showing kids doing these unique activities.Another lesson explored idioms and slang phrases commonly used by English speakers, like "a piece of cake" and "hang in there." I thought it was so cool getting this inside peek into the English language beyond just textbook vocabulary. These cultural lessons make me feel like I'm truly learning about the world, not just memorizing words from a book. The fun facts and vivid photos get me really interested to learn more.Use What You've LearnedIn this final section, we get to put into practice everything we learned in creative ways. There are all kinds of activities and projects like:• Role playing conversations using the new words and grammar• Filling out charts, calendars, or graphic organizers• Writing short stories, descriptions, or letters• Cutting out paper dolls and dressing them based on descriptions• Drawing pictures and labeling the vocabulary• Recording ourselves reading sentences or storiesI really enjoy these hands-on activities because they allow me to use my English in a really dynamic way. Instead of just doing rote exercises on a worksheet, I get to bring the language to life through speaking, writing, arts and crafts. It makes me feel like a kid actually using English in the real world. My absolute favorite activity is the recording one, where we can make an audio recording reading aloud the new sentences and conversations. I love being able to listen back to myself speaking English. It helps me catch any mispronunciations I need to improve.Overall, I'm having a wonderful experience with this PEP English textbook so far. The units cover such an engaging variety of stories, cultural topics, and vocabulary. The many different types of exercises and activities really help reinforce what I'm learning in a fun, interactive way.I appreciate how the book introduces us to real, practical English that kids use in their daily lives. Between the modern vocabulary, colorful pictures, and hands-on projects, this textbook makes me feel like English is something living and vibrant, not just words on a page. Each chapter leaves me feeling motivated to continue building my English skills. I can't wait to see what new worlds the next units will open up for me!。
