The number of bins provided varies by model. To change the location of the divider simply slide your basket out, grab the divider from the center and rotate in a counterclockwise direction until it is desengaged. To assemble, simply align as shown in the figure below and rotate in a clockwise direction until it spans into place.Power On LightThe Power On Light indicates that theappliance is properly connected to electrical power . The light glows even when thetemperature control is turned to OFF . If the light goes out, refer to “Appliance does not run” in the Before You Call section.9appliance forces the compressor to run longer . Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality or spoil.•Be sure to wrap foods properly and wipe containers dry before placing them in the unit. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the unit.• Shelves and baskets should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper , or paper toweling. Liners interfere with cold aircirculation, making the freezer less efficient.• Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, andclose door as soon as possible.CARE AND CLEANINGautomatically, but should be cleaned occasionally.Between DefrostingTo avoid frequent defrosting, occasionally use a plastic scraper to remove frost. Scrape with a pulling motion. Never use a metal instrument to remove frost. It is important to defrost and clean freezer when ¼ to ½ inch of frost has accumulated. Frost may tend to accumulate faster on upper part of the freezer due to warm, moist airthe drain tube near the left center under the freezer . Place a shallow pan under the drain tube. Defrost water will drain out. Check pan occasionally so water does not overflow. A ½ inch garden hose adapter can be used to drain the freezerdirectly into a floor drain. If your model is not equipped with an adapter , one can be purchased at most hardware stores. • On chest models with a defrost drain , place a shallow pan beneath the drain outlet (Figure 2). A ½ inch garden hose adapter can be used to drain the freezer directly into a floor drain (Figure 3). If your model is not equipped with an adapter , one can be purchased at most hardware stores. Pull out the drain plug inside the freezer , and pull off the outside defrost drain plug (Figure 4).Replace the drain plugs when defrostingis completed.• On models without a defrost drain, place towels or newspapers on the freezer bottomto catch the frost. The frost will loosen andfall. Remove towels and/or newspapers.• If the frost is soft, remove it by using aplastic scraper. If the frost is glazed andhard, fill deep pans with hot water andplace them on the freezer bottom. Close the freezer door. Frost should soften in about 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure if necessary. Cleaning the InsideAfter defrosting, wash inside surfaces of the unit with a solution of 2 tbsp. (25 g) of baking soda in 1 qt. (1 l) warm water. Rinse and dry. Wring excess water out of the sponge or cloth when cleaning in the area of the controls, or any electrical parts.Wash the removable parts with the baking soda solution mentioned above, or mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry. Never use metallic scouring pads, brushes, abrasive cleaners, or alkaline solutions on any surface. Do not wash removable parts in a dishwasher. Cleaning the OutsideWash the cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth. Replace parts and food.operating during vacations of less than 3 weeks.Long Vacations: If the unit will not beused for several months, remove all food and unplug the power cord. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. Leave the freezer door open slightly, blocking it open if necessary, to prevent odor and mold growth.Moving: Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet. Remove food, defrost, and then clean the appliance. Secure all loose items such as base panel, baskets, and shelves by taping them securely in place to prevent damage. In the moving vehicle, secure the unit in an upright position, and secure to prevent movement. Also protect outside of unit with a blanket, or similar item.1011If a power failure occurs, frozen foods will stay frozen for over 2 days (upright/convertible) or 3 days (chest) if the appliance is kept closed*. If the power failure continues, pack seven or eight pounds of dry ice into the unit every 24 hours. Look in the Yellow Pages under "Dry Ice," "Dairies," or "Ice Cream Manufacturers" for local dry ice suppliers. Always wear gloves and use caution when handling dry ice.If the appliance has stopped operating, see "Appliance does not run" in the BEFORE YOU CALL section of this manual. If you cannot solve the problem, call an authorized servicer immediately. If the appliance remains off for several hours, follow the directions above for the use of dry ice during a power failure. If necessary, take the food to a local locker plant until the unit is ready to operate. Look in the Yellow Pages under "Frozen Food Locker Plants."*Average cabinet temperature as tested per AHAM standard HRF-1-2007 Section 7.9 at 70º with door remaining closed.POWER/FREEZER FAILUREBEFORE YOU CALL1213USA1.800.944.9044 Frigidaire10200 David Taylor Drive Charlotte, NC 28262Canada1.800.265.8352Electrolux Canada Corp.5855 Terry Fox Way Mississauga, Ontario, CanadaL5V 3E414。

See the rating label inside the cabinet forthe safe power supply and current draw.4InstallationUser ManualSKOPE TMEF SeriesInstallation User ManualPositioning the Cabinet BeforeOperating Follow the below steps to ensure the back sign panel is reversed and the rear spacer is protruding from the back of the cabinet (TMEF1500 3 door cabinet only). This will provide the necessary air gap at the rear of the cabinet for correct operation.1.Cut the cable ties securing the sign back panel to the sign side panels.2.Reverse the sign back panel so that the rear spacer protrudes from therear of the cabinet, and attach the sign back panel to the cabinet by hooking into the slots on the sign side panel ends.3.Retrieve and unravel the power cords and fit through the exit holes ontop of the rear spacer.Power Cord The freezer has a flexible power cord fitted with a 3-pin plug, which exits from the top rear of the cabinet. Pull the power cord around so that it’s nottrapped before you position the cabinet.Note: The TMEF1500 (3 door) freezer has two power cords, one for eachrefrigeration unit.Cabinet Location The location of the freezer may be the single most important decision that will extend its life and ensure economical, high performance. We recommend that you put the freezer in the coolest place possible because it will use less power and last longer.Avoid direct sunlight, warm draughts etc. Allow adequate space for doors to open and close properly. Self-closing doors have internal torsion bars pretensioned at the factory, and must be unobstructed. Ensure the cabinet sits on a level surface so that the doors shut and correctly seal. Level footing also prevents the condensate tray from overflowing.Power CordRear Spacer Power Cord Exit HoleSign Back Panel Back of Cabinet Hanging Hook/Slot Hanging Hook/SlotVentilation Slots56InstallationUser ManualSKOPE TMEF SeriesVentilation Adequate ventilation is essential:Ensure the is a minimum of 200mm of space above the cabinet and100mm behind the cabinet.Air onto the refrigeration unit should not exceed 25°C.Do not cover any ventilation holes on the front and back of the freezer.Ensure there is always at least a 200mm gap above the cabinet, and when installing a TMEF1500 (3 door) cabinet a 100mm gap behind the cabinet (see below). Keep the ventilation slots at the top of the cabinet clear at all times, never store cardboard cartons or other objects on top of the freezer.ShelvesShelves may be positioned at different heights to suit various products. Always ensure that the shelf clips are securely engaged in each of the shelf support strips. Support strips are marked ‘+’ for easy location of shelf clips.TMEF650/1000TMEF1500200mm min 200mm min 100mm min7SKOPE TMEF SeriesOperation User Manual 2 OperationAutomatic Start-UpAfter the cabinet has been positioned in a suitable place, plug it in and check the following activity.Loading ProductLet the freezer run 30 minutes before loading it with product the first time.Allow adequate air space around each item to ensure even cooling and efficient operation of the chiller.Do not exceed a maximum load of 20kg per shelf.Leave airspace of at least 75mm (3”) above the product on the top shelf. Do not cover air outlet at the bottom of the cabinet with product as this may cause spot freezing of products and other products to be warm. Remove some product if the shelves are flexing.Do not let anything overhang the shelves because this might stop the doors from shutting or even break something.Item ActivityCondenser FanThe condenser fan runs continuously throughout all operations of the machine.LightingThe sign and interior lights turn on and stabilise after a few flickers. The Microprocessor display indicates the temperature of the cabinet ambient probe, except during a defrost where the temperature of the cabinet probe is locked in, and during an alarm condition. The display also has LED indicators showing the activation of the compressor, the fan and the defrost. At alarm activation, the displayindicates the type of alarm signal; and an audible alarm sounds. The alarm can be muted at the controller.Controller Components A controlling probe located in a thermal mass inside the evaporator box, called a ‘Cabinet Ambient Probe’.An evaporator probe located within the evaporator coil, referred to as a ‘Defrost Probe’.Defrost The first defrost will occur in 6 hours. During a defrost cycle (indicated by thegreen defrost LED on the control panel) the compressor and the evaporator fan will switch off. Four elements inside the evaporator box will then melt away any ice build up. The duration of a defrost cycle depends on the quantity of ice build up (usually about 10 minutes). A maximum of 22 minutes is preset. Defrost cycles are pre-programmed at 6 hour intervals.During and after each defrost, the display will read the temperature detected before the defrost cycle. The display will then show the return air temperatures as the machine cycles during normal operation.Defrosts should occur during off-peak periods to maximise the efficiency of the machine. This can be achieved by switching the power off, then on again, so that the subsequent 6 hourly cycle defrosts will not coincide with peak periods.Note:A power cut would reset the defrost cycles. This freezer has an over temperature cut-out inside the refrigeration unitevaporator box. This is to safe guard the possibility of the defrost elements remaining on under fault conditions (set at 55°C).The light which illuminates the cabinet interior is permanently on, where applicable.Ensure the door gaskets form a good seal with the ponentDescription Microprocessor:Located behind ventilated unit front cover.Controller Relay Module:Located in control box.
