Unit2 Fun Facts 教学设计一、教学内容与分析1. Reading for knowledge本部分介绍了著名的纽约中央公园、中国的公园,以及它们的异同。
通过阅读了解纽约中央公园概况以及中外公园不同的职能,了解中西方文化的差异,增长课外知识。
2. Thinking tasks本部分通过3个问题的呈现,为学生阅读短文提供了任务依据,学生带着问题去阅读,增强了阅读的针对性,有利于提高阅读效果。
3. Look them up本部分列出了短文中出现的部分生词,省略号部分为不同层次学生提供了学习的空间,可以将自己需要查阅的单词无限拓展。

二、课前准备1. 在网上搜集或画出世界著名公园的图片或明信片,作为评价卡片时发适时发给表现好的学生。
2. 准备纽约中央公园以及中国公园的图片或短片。
3. 准备两个中西方公园职能的对比表格,以备学生对比时填写。
4. 在网上搜集一些中西方饮食或文化差异的简短文章,提供给学生们阅读。
三、教学步骤与建议1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)头脑风暴,发散思维:教师为同学们播放一段中国公园的短片或图片,引发大家思考What do Chinese people do in the park? What do you do in the park? 小组讨论后将讨论结果填写在表格里。
提供表格参考如下:2. 新课呈现(Presentation)1)通过阅读,了解中国的公园在前面讨论的基础上,学生阅读语篇的第二段,小组内讨论并总结其大意。
不认识的单词先根据上下文猜测其含义,之后再经过小组讨论寻求同伴帮助,最后再查字典,学生参照此小节的语篇,补全中国公园表格的填写。
教师带领大家阅读此小节语篇,解决学生提出的不易理解的词句。
在进行语篇阅读时,教师要有意识地引导学生学会阅读策略,如抓关键词等。
