Unit 9 What does he look like？Period One Section A (1a-1c)街头中学范婉如一、学习目标：1.知识目标：1) 学会本课关于人物外貌描写的生词：hair, curly，straight, height, tall, medium, thin，heavy，build ,了解生词的汉语意思，并能正确读出其英语发音。

2) 能够通过课堂活动任务理解和掌握以下句型：-- What does he/she look like? --He / She is tall . He / She has short hair.--What do you look like? --I’m thin．--Is he short or tall ? -- Well, he’s really tall.2. 技能目标：1) 能够通过教师的导入，明确新句型新词汇的使用及含义,能在对话中正确使用所给信息。

】一、教材内容与分析本部分呈现了在地铁站接朋友的场景, 自然地引入了询问和简单描述人物外貌的典型句型和重点词汇, 然后通过听力活动的输入和针对性的对话训练, 导入整个单元的话题, 让学生学会如何用简单的句型和词汇描述人物的外貌, 是一节典型的听说课。

二、教学目标1.语言知识目标:正确描述人物的外貌, 掌握描述外貌的形容词: short, tall, thin, heavy, long, curly, straight.句型：What do you look like？I’m...，and I have...What does he/she look like？He/She is...，and he/she has...2.语言技能目标:能够利用所学词汇及句型描述同学、朋友的外貌特征。

3.情感态度目标:让学生学会友好客观地描述人物的外貌。

难点: 能区别be和have/has的用法。

三、教学过程Ⅰ. Warming-up and revision找出三名外貌差异较大的学生来做比较，一个胖而高大的男生（a fat and tall boy），一个瘦而较矮的男生（a thin and short boy），一个中等身材（of medium height）。

目的：引起学生的学习兴趣，了解人物的外貌特征，（即不管外貌如何在不同的游戏中都能获胜）的对比培养学生的情感和态度：不要以貌取人（Don’t judge by appearance）。

然后用这两名学生为例教heavy, tall, thin, short引出句型：1. What d o you look like? He’s really tall. He has long straight hair.2. What does she look like? Sh e’s of medium/build.…Ⅱ. Presentation (Section A 1a)1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)学习课本的第一部分P49,1a先看图片，然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词。
