一、 整体设计理念、思路
本节课所涉及的话题“特殊的节日”与学生的日常生活中的传统节日紧密相连,贴近生活。所涉及的活动环环相扣,逐层深入。从学生的实际出发,通过感恩节视频导入;速读,细读获取阅读信息;阅读策略渗透;回归生活,口语,阅读理解输出。层层深入,把三维目标有机地结合起来,完成本课的教育教学任务,让学生通过运用形成技能。
二、教学内容分析:
本次授课内容选自八年级上册Unit8 How do you make banana milk shake?的Section B(2a-2e)的阅读课,阅读材料以美国的感恩节的历史文化以及感恩节的传统食物(火鸡晚餐)制作为内容。阅读语篇分为两个主要构成部分,一部分讲的是美国感恩节历史文化,另一部分是火鸡晚餐的制作过程和方法。该阅读材料内容丰富,包含了历史文化方面的内容,本部分的知识呈现比较简单,但是如果要让学生体会到美国感恩节的历史文化底蕴,老师需要额外的给学生补充感恩节的由来。而第二部分涉及到食物的制作过程,学生不但要掌握First, next, then,
finally等词的使用,还要掌握一些重要的关于制作食物的动词词组和名词,如:mix together, fill…with, cover, place, pepper, oven, plate, celebrate…by, give thanks
to, give thanks for ...这些词汇不仅是对单元语言目标的进一步拓展,还为后面的书面表达提供了参考词汇。本节课与学生的生活实际密切相关,易于引导学生用英语正确表达中国的传统节日和食品名称,完成读写的任务活动。
