When Peng Liyuan stepped off the plane in Moscow, the whole world wanted to know who dressed the elegant first lady. The reporter released the secret—Ma Ke.Peng Liyuan has been wearing Ma Ke's designs for more than a decade, a fact that was only highlighted recently when she was on her first state visit, accompanying her husband President Xi Jinping. The elegant and attractive Peng, formerly a popular singer, has been compared with the US’first lady Michelle Obama and France’s Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, since stepping off the airplane in Moscow on March 22. Suddenly, everyone was curious to know more about the first lady’s wardrobe.Even so, Ma prefers a low-key approach. “If you eat a tasty egg why would you want to see the hen?” she says of all the media attention.Ma’s relationship with Peng began 10 years ago after a concert in Guangzhou when a reporter told Peng she knew the designer behind the label Exception de Mixmind. Peng asked for an introduction because she was a fan of Ma’s designs and had been wearing them for years. The two naturally became friends. Ma says:“The painting reflects the painter, and clothes reflect both the designer and the wearer. Someone desires fame and wealth, or love and sympathy; what you have in your heart is reflected in the design. Those who don’t share my philosophy won’t buy my clothes. Peng is a caring person, devoted to charity and environmental protection, which is exactly what I’m doing now.”However, regardless of the brand, Peng’s support of Chinese labels has surprised millions of Chinese who favor foreign fashion brands.“Ins tead she presented a vision of Chinese fashion, desiring to bring Chinese designers to the world stage,” says a western designer. The first lady’s double-breasted coat and her black leather handbag aren’t available at any of Exception’s shops, though Exception’s physical stores do have seen a rising number of visitors.1.. The passage mainly discusses _________.A. the designer of the first lady Peng Liyuan’s dress, Ma KeB. the friendship between Peng Liyuan and her designerC. Peng Liyuan’s clothes on her first state visitD. the reactions to Peng Liyuan’s first visit to Moscow2.. In the underlined sentence in Paragraph 1 Ma Ke mentioned “an egg and the hen” to show_________.A. it is hard to explain “Which came first, the egg or the hen?”B. paying such great attention to her was unnecessaryC. the outcome was more important than the processD. her dissatisfaction with the media attention on her dress3.. What can be inferred from the passage?A. First ladies compete with each other whenever they are together.B. Peng’s suits can be bought in Ma Ke’s clothes stores.C. Ma Ke offered to design the first lady’s clothes through her friends.D. Peng had liked Ma’s designs long before she got to know her in the flesh.4.. Which of the following statements is NOT true according to the passage?A. Peng wears the dress designed by a Chinese designer probably to support Chinese brands.B. Many citizens found Peng Liyuan’s choice quite unexpected.C. Black leather handbags like Peng’s are widely sold in bag stores in big cities.D. After Peng Liyuan’s visit to Moscow Ma Ke’s clothes became more popular.1.A主旨大意题。
2017-2019高考英语真题分类解析阅读理解说明类一、2019年高考真题1. 【2019·全国卷I,C】As data and identity theft becomes more and more common, the market is growing for biometric(生物测量)technologies—like fingerprint scans—to keep others out of private e-spaces. At present, these technologies are still expensive, though.Researchers from Georgia Tech say that they have come up with a low-cost device(装置)that gets around this problem: a smart keyboard. This smart keyboard precisely measures the cadence(节奏)with which one types and the pressure fingers apply to each key. The keyboard could offer a strong layer of security by analyzing things like the force of a user's typing and the time between key presses. These patterns are unique to each person. Thus, the keyboard can determine people's identities, and by extension, whether they should be given access to the computer it's connected to—regardless of whether someone gets the password right. It also doesn't require a new type of technology that people aren't already familiar with. Everybody uses a keyboard and everybody types differently. In a study describing the technology, the researchers had 100 volunteers type the word “touch”four times using the smart keyboard. Data collected from the device could be used to recognize different participants based on how they typed, with very low error rates. The researchers say that the keyboard should be pretty straightforward to commercialize and is mostly made of inexpensive, plastic-like parts. The team hopes to make it to market in the near future.28. Why do the researchers develop the smart keyboard?A. To reduce pressure on keys.B. To improve accuracy in typingC. To replace the password system.D. To cut the cost of e-space protection.29. What makes the invention of the smart keyboard possible?A. Computers are much easier to operate.B. Fingerprint scanning techniques develop fast.C. Typing patterns vary from person to person.D. Data security measures are guaranteed.30. What do the researchers expect of the smart keyboard?all 1o soisgitieoco oll.A. It'll be environment-friendly.B. It'll reach consumers soon.C. It'll be made of plastics.D. It'll help speed up typing.31. Where is this text most likely from?A. A diary.B. A guidebookC. A novel.D.

We often get the first impression of a people based on the color of a person’s skin or the manner in which he or she dressed. Meaning is conveyed not only by words or verbal languages but also by nonverbal communication systems, such as body behaviors. Nonverbal communication is important because we use the actions of others to learn about their affective emotional states .Our emotions are reflected in our posture, face, and eyes—be it fear, joy, anger, or sadness—so we can express them without ever saying a word .For this reason, most of us rely heavily on what we learn through our eyes. Nonverbal communication is significant in human interaction because it is usually responsible for the first impressions. More importantly, those first messages usually influence the perception(感知) of everything else that follows. Even how we select friends and sexual partners is grounded in first impressions with nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication is important because it is culture-related. It is based on different beliefs, religions, values and customs in different cultures. When, where, how, and to whom people display his or her specific nonverbal behaviors is greatly affected by culture and context. Culture determines what the appropriate nonverbal behavior is. For example, feelings of friendship exist everywhere but their expression varies. It may be appropriate in some countries for man to embrace each other and for women to hold hands; in other countries these displays of affection may be shocking. Each culture has its own specific interpretation on nonverbal communication. What is acceptable in one culture may be completely unacceptable in another. One culture may determine that snapping fingers to call a waiter is acceptable; another may consider this gesture rude. 1. What is the best title of the passage? A. 阅读理解题型分类练(二) 细节理解题——间接信息类A[2023·黄冈中学高三二模] AI is considered to be transformative for a wide range of industries, but there's perhaps no other field where it provides more value than healthcare. Machinelearning programs are now being used in many hospitals to spot cancer and other diseases and discover new drugs, but there's still this general impression that this is all done in a small way and the impacts are still minimal. AI is already here to stay and it has already saved thousands of lives.Researchers at Johns Hopkins University published two studies in July 2022 describing a machinelearningbased early detection tool for sepsis (败血症) that was used at five hospitals over a twoyear period. During this period, the AI was able to identify nearly 10,000 sepsis cases from patient records and helped doctors offer critical care about two hours, on average, earlier than when they didn't have access to the AI's warning. Thanks to this system, the patients were 20% less likely to die of sepsis, potentially saving thousands of lives across the U.S. if it is implemented (实施) nationwide.Once sepsis sets in, the patient usually suffers fever, a rapid heart rate, and difficult breathing. When treating sepsis, time is of critical importance. However, sepsis is not always apparent, so there are naturally some delayed diagnoses. But if the condition is not diagnosed in time, it can progress into septic shock, causing a significant drop in blood pressure, organ failure, and other serious consequences. Even with treatment, in some cases, there is nothing doctors can do to save the patient's life, which is why prevention is the name of the game with sepsis. This is why the AI developed at Johns Hopkins, known as the Targeted Realtime Early Warning System, is so important. In the two years the system had been online since 2018, during which it monitored 590,000 patients via their electronic health records, the AI was able to flag nearly 10,000 cases of sepsis. Its accuracy following diagnosis proved to be 38%, which might not sound like a lot, but earlier systems couldn't achieve more than 12%.1.What's the general impression of AI in the healthcare industries?A.It is widely implemented to spot diseases.B.It provides more value than in other fields.C.It has had a limited impact.D.It has failed to save lives.2.What did researchers at Johns Hopkins University find about the AI tool for sepsis?A.It could update patient records.B.It could be used to figure out how sepsis occurs.C.It could uncover the reason for delayed diagnoses.D.It could be applied to sepsis detection and timely caregiving.3.What does Paragraph 3 mainly focus on?A.The importance of sepsis prevention.B.The difficulty of diagnosing sepsis.C.The identification of septic shock.D.The treatments for septic shock.4.Why does the author present the data in the last paragraph?A.To introduce the downside of the studies.B.To stress the effectiveness of the warning system.C.To indicate the big number of patients with sepsis.D.To call for the improvement of the tool's accuracy.B[2023·雅礼中学考前适应性训练] It's no secret that inhaling (吸入) smoke is bad for your lungs. But now, scientists are suggesting smoke may also carry and spread infectious diseases. The theory, published in Science Magazine, is based on research that found wildfire smoke is crowded with thousands of species of microorganisms. Some of these microorganisms, including bacteria and fungal spores, are known to cause disease. The new research suggests that when a wildfire burns plant or animal matter and disturbs soils, it exposes thousands of species of bacteria and fungi that otherwise might not easily become airborne (空气传播的). You might think the high heat from fire would kill these organisms, but one study mentioned in the article found that some bacteria even multiply postfire. Scientists s ay the organisms attach to smoke particles, allowing them to travel thousands of miles across continents.Dr. Peter Chen, director of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at CedarsSinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, is interested in the t heory but somewhat skeptical that the microorganisms in smoke would actually cause infections. Many bacteria and fungi don't cause lung infections, says Chen, but it's certainly possible that a significant amount could worsen symptoms in someone with a pre existing lung condition. “I always thought it was the particles in smoke that were causing these issues,” says Chen. “But when I read this, I started thinking: Could it be the microorganisms that are also worsening existing illnesses?”Whether the microorganisms in smoke actually cause infection or simply worsen potential respiratory (呼吸的) issues, the article raises a new health threat that is “certainly alarming”,says Kelsey Jack, an associate professor of environmental and development economics. This is especially true for lowerincome populations, Jack says, because people with fewer means are often more exposed to the environment. If smoke is affecting the air quality in a certain area, the people who work outside, or who have to go to the office on foot or by bike will inhale more smoke than those who drive. But until more research is done, Chen says the best thing people can do is just follow existing recommendations when air quality is poor—including staying indoors, keeping windows and doors closed, using HEPA filters and running air conditioning.5.What can we know about the microorganisms from Paragraph 2?A.They could be killed by high heat.B.They could reproduce in large numbers after fires.C.They could possibly travel through air by themselves.D.They can easily attach themselves to smoke particles.6.How do most microorganisms affect people according to Dr. Peter Chen?A.They might worsen lung diseases.B.They will cause lung infections.C.They will destroy living environments.D.They might damage respiratory systems.7.Why are lowincome people suffering more than others?A.They live in poor areas.B.They drive to and from work.C.They have suffered from lung disease.D.They are exposed to polluted air more frequently.8.What does the last paragraph mainly talk about?A.Results of the new research.B.Suggestions on dealing with poor air quality.C.Disagreements between the author and Chen.D.Benefits of preventing smoke from polluting the air.C[2023·山东省聊城市三模] It was eight o'clock on Christmas morning, and Uncle Tom said he wanted to listen to the news. My 11yearold self was wondering why grownups would be interested in the news when there were important things to be done, such as handing out presents. However, while I was only halfliste ning to the radio broadcast, I was confused that I had heard that report earlier. My older brother, Colin, figured out what was happening. “Pete, it's a tape recorder! We've got our tape recorder!” This was one of those rare moments when my inside gave an involuntary lurch (倾斜). Colin and I had both been blind from birth. In the late 1950s, tape recorders were definitely the top choice for blind kids, especially with the rise of rock ‘n’ roll. But it wasn't the first time I had been attracted to a tape recorder. I vividly remember walking into a room when I was four and hearing a child's beautiful singing. It turned out that my dad had borrowed a tape recorder for preparing his projects. And for the first time, in the same way that a sighted child might react to seeing themselves in a mirror or a photograph, I got the sense of myself as a separate person who existed outside my head and was experienced by other people. Then I became a broadcaster at school. I would wander around the school with my microphone, recording my thoughts in the style of the voices I heard on the radio. But the biggest challenge was not finding things to do with the tape recorder but taking it away from Colin. His generosity on the first day we got it did not extend to handing it over to his brother at school. “You'll break it,” he would say.But ten years later, I drew on the confidence gained from those early explorations of the sound and walked into a radio station, in the hopes of selling myself as a broadcast journalist.
