Good morning, everyone!
There are so many choices in American’s life diary, such as beef-steak, toast, fried chickens, ham. But today, I will say something about Fast Food which represents one of American style in almost every American’s life.
Fast-food chains are currently on the increase all over the world. Most of these places work on a similar principle. There is a long counter, above which is displayed a list of the items available, as you know every item have its picture, just like in KFC. And behind the counter several people which are often students from nearby college are serving. Individual queues form in front of each assistant. About people in USA, they will receive what they order more or less immediately and take it on a tray to a table, picking up thing like straws, peper, salt, ketchup, pickle sand napkins (usually paper napkins) on the way.
Here, if you are there, and you can not see any knives and forks, this must mean that you are supposed to eat with your hands.
If you can't see any straws, that's because they are hiding in the straw dispenser. Like that, you have to fiddle with the bottom of it to get a straw to emerge, of course, just one at a time.
When you've finished, you can throw away everything, but the boss of the restaurant wants the tray can be remained.
In USA, many fast-food places have drive-in facilities. You can just place
your order from your car through cellphone and then drive round to a special window to pay and pick it up. You may even encounter places where a waitress bring your meal out, and you sit and eat it in the car from a tray hooked over the door through the open window. What is more, in some states there is no sales tax on food-consumed.
That is all, Thanks!。
