Step 1 Greeting(2 munities)
Greet the class as usual and check the homework.
Step 2 Lead in (1 minutes)
T: This class continues to learn Unit 3. Talk about “what are you doing for vacation?”
Step 3 Section B 1a (10 minutes)
1. Show some pictures on the blackboard to learn the key vocabulary.
(1) Students to read the five phrases.
(2) Students to match each phrase with a picture by writing
the letter of the picture in the blank in front of the correct phrase.
(3) Check the answers.

(This activity introduces more key vocabulary.)
2. fishing n.捕鱼,垂钓(the sport or job of catching fish) eg. Fishing is very popular in Ireland.
sightseeing n.观光,游览(going about as a tourist in holiday, visiting places of interest)
eg. Allow three days for sightseeing in Pairs.
rent v. 租借(to pay money for the use of something)
eg. Shall we rent a car? \ I rent a room from Mrs. Jones. Step 4 1b (7 minutes)
(1)Work with a partner. Talk about what students would like to do in vacation. Talk about the activities in 1a or other activities students know.
As students talk, move around the class, offering language or pronunciation support if needed.
(2)Then have the class listen to one student ask another about each activity.
Step 5 2a and 2b (15 minutes)
(1)T: Look at the picture, please. The reporter is interviewing
an actress named He Yu. Now look at the chart. There are reporter’s questions and the actress’answers. I’ll give you one minute to read this questions and answers.
(2)Play the tape of their conversation. Ask students to listen to the conversation carefully then finish the chart. Play the tape for three times. First time students only listen. Then play it for the second time. Students check the questions they hear. Then for the third time. This time ask students to write the answers He Yu gives.
Then check the answers.

Step 6 2c Pair work (8 minutes)
(1) Ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubbles.
(2) Work in pairs. Student A is the reporter. Student B is He Yu. Ask and answer about He Yu’s vacation. Then change roles.
As students work, move around the classroom, offering language support if needed.
(3) Ask pairs of students to present their conversation to the class.
(This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language.)
Step 7 Summary (1 minutes)
This class we have learnt three vocabularies and five phrases. And also we have done oral practice. Next class we’ll do reports in how much various vacation cost. You can ask or find the price for various vacations.
Step 8 Homework (1 minute)
Get brochures from a travel agent or find vacation advertisements in newspaper and magazines.
