She gets higher scores on those kinds of tests. But Sam is way better at writing stories and poems than Jenny. His creative writing is more imaginative and descriptive. He can make up the coolest characters and plots!One of the funniest things is how different their personalities are. Jenny is more quiet and shy, while Sam is the louder, sillierone who isn't afraid to be goofy. He tells way funnier jokes than Jenny. But Jenny has a sweeter, kinder way of talking that makes her comments more polite than Sam's.Sam is more daring and mischievous. He's always trying to talk us into doing crazy stunts on the playground like seeing who can jump off the highest swing. I'm not as brave as him! Jenny is more cautious and sensible about dangerous stuff like that. She worries we might get hurt.Their families are really different too. Jenny's parents are richer than Sam's. They live in a huge house that's way bigger than mine or Sam's. She gets nice toys and video games for her birthday that cost more money. But Sam definitely has more brothers and sisters than Jenny does. She's an only child with no siblings at all, but Sam has three older sisters and one little brother, so his house is way more crowded and chaotic than Jenny's!When it comes to hobbies, they both like different activities. Jenny is more into artistic stuff like drawing pictures, painting, and making pottery. Her artwork is much prettier and neater than anything I could make. Sam prefers sports and outdoor activities like basketball, soccer, skating, and climbing trees. He's a lot more athletic and coordinates compared to Jenny and me.They have different favorite foods too. Jenny's favorite is probably strawberries or other sweet, fruity kinds of snacks. She loves anything sugary! While Sam would rather have salty, crunchy foods like chips, crackers, and pretzels. I think he could eat an entire bag of potato chips by himself if his mom let him.Now that I'm a little older, I've started to notice how different Jenny and Sam look from each other too. Obviously one is a girl and one is a boy. But I mean their facial features are really distinct. Jenny has bigger, rounder blue eyes and a smaller nose and mouth. While Sam's eyes are squintier and darker, his nose is larger, and he has bigger lips. Jenny's face looks softer and more delicate overall, whereas Sam's looks sturdier and squarer if that makes sense.Their styles in clothes show how different they are too. Jenny tends to wear fancier, girlier outfits with dresses, skirts, bows, and bright colors like pink and purple. But Sam just wears plain t-shirts and shorts or jeans most days. His clothes are baggier and more comfortable for playing hard. She can climb the monkey bars at the playground all the way across without stopping. Emily usually has to rest or drop down in the middle. Like last week they played veterinarian clinic and used Emily's stuffed animals as pretend pets that were sick or hurt and they had to take care of them. Another day they played restaurant and used leaves and rocks as pretend food to cook in Jessica's backyard.So you can see Jessica and Emily have some things that are similar about them, and some things that are really different.
