2. 通过报刊阅读,提高英语思辨能力ssp的头版文章通常是外国主编写的文章,针对国内当前的一些事情写得评论性文章,例如,get help before it’s too late 学生压力过大自杀现象,beautiful scenes at ugly prices 节日风景区乱收费现象,gaokao shortcut?

有大量的与新事物相关的词汇,如3G Cell Phones, A(H1N1)等;现代汉语中出现的新词汇,如the two-day offs(双休日);job-hop(跳槽)等。
大部分学生都选取了how to protect your consumer rights这篇文章。

Compared with people who ra ted themselves as unhappy, people who were happiest spent 70 percent more time talking, had one-third as much small talk and twice as many deep conversations.Researchers came to their conclusions by having a group of 79 college students wear a tape recorder for four days. They eavesdropped (偷听) on their conversations. The students were also given tests to measure happiness and personality. The findings suggest that “the happy life is social rather than solitary (孤独的), and conversationally deep rather than superficial (肤浅的),” the authors, from the University of Arizona and Washington University in St. Louis, wrote. It’s not clear, however, whether happy people attract others for deep conversations or whether deep conversations make people happier.
