Read and follow all of Whelen’s written instructions when installing or using this device. Emergency vehicles are often operated under high speed stressful conditions which must be accounted for when installing all emergency warning devices. Controls should be placed within convenient reach of the operator so that they can operate the system without taking their eyes off the roadway. Emergency warning devices can require high electrical voltages and/or currents. Properly protect and use caution around live electrical connections.Grounding or shorting of electrical connections can cause high current arcing, which can cause personal injury and/or vehicle damage, including fire. Many electronic devices used in emergency vehicles can create or be affected by electromagnetic interference. Therefore, after installation of any electronic device it is necessary to test all electronic equipment simultaneously to insure that they operate free of interference from other components within the vehicle. Never power emergency warning equipment from the same circuit or share the same grounding circuit with radio communication equipment. All devices should be mounted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and securely fastened to vehicle elements of sufficient strength to withstand the forces applied to the device. Driver and/or passenger air bags (SRS) will affect the way equipment should be mounted. This device should be mounted by permanent installation and within the zones specified by the vehicle manufacturer, if any. Any device mounted in the deployment area of an air bag will damage or reduce the effectiveness of the air bag and may damage or dislodge the device. Installer must be sure that this device, its mounting hardware and electrical supply wiring does not interfere with the air bag or the SRS wiring or sensors. Mounting the unit inside the vehicle by a method other than permanent installation is not recommended as unit may become dislodged during swerving; sudden braking or collision. Failure to follow instructions can result in personal injury. Whelen assumes no liability for any loss resulting from the use of this warning device. PROPER INSTALLATION COMBINED WITH OPERATOR TRAINING IN THE PROPER USE OF EMERGENCY WARNING DEVICES IS ESSENTIAL TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF EMERGENCY PERSONNEL AND THE PUBLIC.Warnings to UsersWhelen’s emergency vehicle warning devices are intended to alert other operators and pedestrians to the presence and operation of emergency vehicles and personnel. However, the use of this or any other Whelen emergency warning device does not guarantee that you will have the right-of-way or that other drivers and pedestrians will properly heed an emergency warning signal. Never assume you have the right-of-way. It is your responsibility to proceed safely before entering an intersection, driving against traffic, responding at a high rate of speed, or walking on or around traffic lanes. Emergency vehicle warning devices should be tested on a daily basis to ensure that they operate properly. When in actual use, the operator must ensure that both visual and audible warnings are not blocked by vehicle components (i.e.: open trunks or compartment doors), people, vehicles, or other obstructions. It is the user’s responsibility to understand and obey all laws regarding emergency warning devices. The user should be familiar with all applicable laws and regulations prior to the use of any emergency vehicle warning device. Whelen’s audible warning devices are designed to project sound in a forward direction away from the vehicle occupants. However, because sustained periodic exposure to loud sounds can cause hearing loss, all audible warning devices should be installed and operated in accordance with the standards established by the National Fire Protection Association.Safety FirstThis document provides all the necessary information to allow your Whelen product to be properly and safely installed. Before beginning the installation and/or operation of your new product, the installation technician and operator must read this manual completely. Important information is contained herein that could prevent serious injury or damage.WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Methylene Chloride which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and Bisphenol A, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Also unplug and remove the corner lightheads. Remove the 4 top extrusion torx screws (T20 torx head) and remove the top extrusion. (Slide the lenses out and place them on your work area in the order you removed them for easy re-installation.)2.Unplug and remove the strobe power supply you wish to replace.3.Plug the ballast interconnect harness into the ballast you are installing and install the ballast with the connectors on the ballast facing inward (the opposite way the power supply connectors faced). You may have to cut one or more ty-wraps from the main harness to allow you to turn the ballast around.Note:You must also turn the other strobe power supply around so itsconnectors face inward to make room for the extra wiring. 4.Plug the other end of the ballast’s interconnect harness into the lightbar ports you removed the power supply harness from (The connectors will match the ones you removed).WARNING!Use ty-wraps to hold the harness in its new position and make sureall wires are positioned out of the way of other components, so they will not get crushed during reassembly. 5.Unplug and remove the lightheads you are replacing. Plug the LED retrofit adapters onto the LED lightheads you are installing then install the LED lightheads in the spots you removed the strobe lightheads from. Reassemble and test the lightbar.ULTRA: 1.Remove the endcaps (T25 torx head) and unplug the alley lights if present.2.Slide as many lenses and lightheads out of the lightbar as is necessary to access the power supply you wish to replace. Place them on your work area in the order that you removed them for easy re-installation.3.Unplug and remove the strobe power supply you wish to replace.4.Plug the ballast interconnect harness into the ballast you are installing and install the ballast. Unlike the LFL, the ballast for the ULTRA will install in the same position as the power supply you removed (with connectors facing the outside of the lightbar).5.Plug the other end of the ballast’s interconnect harness into the lightbar ports you removed the power supply harness from (The connectors will match the ones you removed).6.Unplug and remove the lightheads you are replacing. Plug the LED retrofit adapters onto the LED lightheads you are installing then install the LED lightheads in the spots you removed the strobe lightheads from.Reassemble and test the lightbar.WARNING!Position all wires out of theway of other components, so they will not get crushed or pinched during reassembly.WARNING!The strobe power supply is a high voltage device. Do not remove the strobe tubes or dismantle the strobe lightheads in the system while the unit is in operation. Wait 10 minutes after turning off power Before starting any work or trouble shooting on the system.Be sure power is off and the main fuse is removed. The diagrams above show which strobe power supplies control which strobe lightheads to identify which power supply controls the lightheads you wish to change.IMPORTANT: The LED ballast for both the ULTRA and PATRIOT follows the basic function of the existing strobe power supplies. Some functions however, will not be possible. For proper performance, the ballast should be used in ALTERNATING MODE ONLY. This may require a change to your SC control head. SC modes such as SIMULTANEOUS, IN-OUT and RANDOM will cause errors and are not recommended. These ballasts are unique and should be treated as such. When changing patterns, the ballast needs to first detect the active pattern coming from the I.O. card and then sync up with it. This may take one or two cycles and some minor flash glitches may be seen in the pattern during this process. ACTION SCAN may display some minor flash glitches since the patterns change often.。
OWNER’S MANUAL OWNEGENZLER AMPLIFICATION LLCBROOKLYN, NY 11215 U.S.A.Email:********************PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – The MAGELLAN® PRE brings the performance and feature set of our popular Magellan series bass amps into a powerful, feature-laden, compact bass preamp/DI pedal. This is exactly what players have come to expect from the GENZLER®design team -- performance, versatility, and reliability. From natural, pristine, transparent reproduction of the bass instrument to classic, vintage harmonic textures with a “weighted feel to the notes”, the MG-PRE-PEDAL provides the tonal palette needed to cover all of the bassist’s tone requirements. All of which is housed in an aircraft-grade aluminum chassis with classic Genzler styling. The MAGELLAN® PRE is a full featured preamp pedal with a wide-range input gain control, 3 band equalization with sweepable mids, our unique foot switchable dual curve adjustable contour circuits, foot switchable mute circuit, aux input, headphone output, balanced/unbalanced main output and balanced XLR direct output. The MG-PRE is also a great companion to our 4 ON THE FLOOR Classic Overdrive Pedal, CRASH BOX-4 Classic Distortion Pedal and RE/Q 5 band EQ + Filter Pedal.INPUT VOLUME – This control sets the input signal level of the preamp and will affect the output level of the DIRECT OUT when used in the POST-EQ mode. This control is also used in conjunction with the MASTER VOLUME control to set the overall output level of the PREAMP OUTPUT and HEADPHONE OUTPUT jacks.HIGH PASS FILTER (LOW CUT) – This control sets the low-frequency roll-off point of the signal and is used to reduce the low-frequency extension of the signal by rolling off the low frequencies as the control is rotated clockwise. This is an important feature in maintaining control over the extreme low end, which in many cases can become too boomy or muddy. While HPF’s have been standard in the pro-audio industry for decades, this is a more recent feature in bass amplifiers and preamplifiers. This filter provides additional mechanical protection to speakers from over-excursion by reducing the power delivered to the speaker below the point that the speaker can safely reproduce low frequencies. A second use for this filter is to roll off the sub-bass frequencies that can get out of hand in a boomy room or stage. A third use is for rolling off the very low end when overdriving the signal. This prevents the tone from becoming muddy, and preserves the naturally musical growl and grit of the overdriven signal, and a fourth use is for reducing the extreme low end when boosting the bass eq control, allowing for some unique low-mid voicings and increased low-mid clarity. Experimentation will be helpful in all of these applications.CONTOUR – Our unique CONTOUR circuit offers variable control of 2 vastly different response curves. In either CURVE position, when the control is all the way off (CCW) the response curves are completely FLAT.CURVE A (Blue): Provides a variable pre-shaped curve that boosts lows and highs while simultaneously cutting mids. The slopes are fairly gentle which keep the tone shaping very musical. This curve covers a wide range of sounds from flat to classic to modern depending on the position of the independent CURVE A control.CURVE B (Amber):Provides a variable pre-shaped curve with attenuated high-mids and highs, a low-mid bump, and a slight roll-off of the lowest bass frequencies. Again, the slopes are fairly gentle which keep the tone shaping very musical. This curve is intended to provide sounds in the range of vintage amps and vintage cabinets that do not have tweeters. An independent CURVE B control is provided for this filter.ACTIVE EQUALIZATION – The MG-PRE-PEDAL contains an active 3 band equalizer with shelving bass and treble controls and a sweepable parametric mid-range frequency control. The mid-range filter is typically (but not always) used to reduce or remove offending frequencies in the instrument, speaker cabinet, or room response; or to boost response to achieve a particular voicing. Spend some time experimenting so that the process becomes creative as well as corrective.MASTER VOLUME – Adjusts the output volume to the PREAMP OUTPUT and HEADPHONE OUTPUT jacks, but does not affect the level to the DIRECT OUT in either pre or post eq modes.CONTOUR FOOTSWITCH – Pressing the footswitch alternates the pedal’s operation between CONTOUR filters, CURVE A (BLUE LED) and CURVE B (AMBER LED).MUTE FOOTSWITCH – Used to mute the INSTRUMENT INPUT signal. Pressing the footswitch alternates the pedal’s operation between MUTE (RED LED) and ACTIVE (BLUE LED).INSTRUMENT INPUT – The MAGELLAN® PRE is equipped with a standard 1/4” instrument level unbalanced input. This input contains an FET input amp circuit with an “RFI” filter (radio frequency interference) to eliminate unwanted noise.AUX INPUT – Used to input a line level mono or stereo auxiliary signal, and can be used for playback of tracks for rehearsal/practices. This input sums left and right signals from a stereo source to mono. NOTE: The signal from this input is not sent to the DIRECT OUT.PREAMP OUTPUT – Used to output the preamp signal to other external devices. This can be used with a TS cable for an unbalanced output or with a TRS cable for a balanced output that is capable of driving a balanced +4dBu line level signal to a pro-audio power amp.HEADPHONE OUTPUT – Used to drive stereo headphones or ear buds of all types (8 ohm - 200 ohm recommended -- see SPECIFICATIONS section).INSTRUMENT INPUT – The MAGELLAN® PRE is equipped with a standard 1/4” instrument level unbalanced input. Atmos-Tech Air ShowersIndustry Air Sales Ltd.*************************Standard construction for air showers is epoxy-paintedsteel, with anodized-aluminum doors and PLC controller with push-button LED controller adjacent tothe entry door. However, there are many options available for theAtmos-Tech air showers, to name just a few:1. 304L stainless-steel construction, suitable for food-grade cGMP application2. Floors with grates, trays, drains, etc.3. Card-reader entry and/or exit.4. Ceiling laminar-flow HEPA/ULPA Filters5. Multi-access doors, roll-up doors, etc., etc.Smaller air showers, like the model AS337(shown at left& right)or model AS347,ship as1-pce or2-pce units. This makesfield installation fast and simple. Electrical panels can be internally(or externally) mounted to customer’srequirement.Simply providesupply power and make a few electrical connections to get yourshower operational!Standard arrangement is tohave the shower shipped in two sections;base section and top(filter& fan)section.Sides are labeled to ensure correct orientation and alignment of air and electrical chases. In the picture you can see the electrical cables as well as some of the air chases.tight spaces, have to be broken-down atthe factory(after complete assembly andtesting)for reassembly at the site.Thisrequires a conscientious contractor toensure a proper, airtight installation.Showers that are going to be site assem-bled are carefully labeled at the factorygasketed and caulked as required. When high personnel thru-put is required, the best option is an air-tunnel.When anOntario food processor needed an air shower installed to meet corporate and cGMP requirements, they decided topurchase a3x10air tunnel. The motion activated fans allow a continuous stream ofpersonnel into the cleanroom, eliminating the need for door interlocks.Side mountedfilters and fans were required due to low headroom in the changeroom corridor.clearance to the trusses above.(Continued)Regardless of the model being installed, it is always preferred to install an air shower at thefirst stages of construction, given the work and rigging required. Even with factory broken-down construction, a large work areais required for wall erection and fan cabinet mounting. On this tight install a bulkhead(top-right of pic) had to be provided to allow for filter & fan access. This roll-up door shower was installed in 2018in the Shipping-Receiving dep’t at a medical-grade cannabis facility here in Ontario.Atmos-Tech air shower electricalpanels are designed and built at their in-house UL508A certified panel shop. UL508A certification means they can apply the c-UL mark on all their electrical panels (see pic at bottom left). Many electrical options are available for the air showers, including explosion-proof electrics, as shown at pic right.Apart from cUL labeled electricalpanels, all components are ULlisted and labeled.Motors are available in1-phaseor3-phase,and600V(Canadian)voltages is easily accommodated. Motors and filter sections aretypically top-mounted,but side-mounted fans and filter sections are available for low-headroom facilities.Larger units, and units being installed intight spaces, need to be broken-down at the factory(after complete assembly and testing)for reassembly at the site. This requires a conscientious contractor to ensure a proper, airtight installation. Showers that are going to be site assembled should be installed immediately after floors are finished.Misting Showers:Apart from air showers,Atmos-Tech offers a full line of Misting Showers. As the name implies, mistingshowers spray a fine mist of ionized-water on the occupant as they exit the cleanroom.Theoccupant then removes their cleanroom garment before exiting the misting shower. These showers are typically used in manufacturing suites where active ingredients are in powder form and need to be containedwithin the cleanroom.Continued on next pageMisting Showers:Misting showers are typically304L stainless-steel construction, construction that is suitable for the high-moisture environment. Misting showers can also be designed to provide a misting cycle plus an air shower cycle, otherwise a “Misting-Air Shower”.For example, personnel exiting a“Mother Room”at a cannabis operation may want an air-cycle followed by a misting-cycle to blow-off and then contain sticky pollen to prevent it from cross-contaminating crops in other rooms in the growing operation.。
