Knowing our goals and hopes comes from knowing ourselves. What does it mean to know yourself?Students: To know yourself means know what you like and what you don’t like, what makes you happy and unhappy, what you’re good at and what you’re not good at.Teacher: Right. How well do you know yourselves?Students: I know myself quite well, but I still have much to learn.Teacher: Good answer. The better you know yourself, the better you’ll be able to choose a path that is right for you. Is it important to choose the right path for your dreams? Why?Students: Because when you choose the right path, you will have a happy and successful life.Teacher: Yes. In this lesson Li Ming writes Danny an e-mail to tell him about his ambitions and dreams. (迁移创新)语篇研读What:本课语篇是一封电子邮件,主要介绍了李明和同学们在学校讨论未来的职业,并询问丹尼对未来的打算。
Why:通过学习本课,引导学生在考虑未来时要对自己有清晰的认识,以此来选择适合自己的路,正确规划自己的人生。
How:语篇先是介绍李明和同学们在学校讨论自己的理想和抱负,接着李明介绍了自己的想法,他将来想要做一名老师,最后询问丹尼是否会成为一名篮球运动员。
