I was off to go back to work one evening and my two children were busy sewing(缝)things on the sewing machine. My 11-year-old daughter was, in the midst of her project, going to help her older brother in making a little cushion(垫子). I left, and in a few hours returned to find a mess(混乱)in the kitchen, front room, and both children sitting in front of the television. Having had a long day, I was very short with my greeting to them and then I noticed the material my daughter had used. It had been bought to make a baby blanket, and now had chunks(大块)cut out of almost every piece of cloth. Not stopping to listen, I exploded at the children and explained how angry I was at what had been done.

My daughter listened to me sheepishly, not trying to defend herself at all, but the pain could be seen written across her face. She went back to her room quietly, and spent some time in there alone before she came out to say good night and once again ap ologize for the mistake she had made.

A few hours later, as I was preparing to go to bed, there on my bed lay a beautiful, little cushion made out of the forbidden cloth, with the words“I LOVE MOM”. Alongside it was a note apologizing again, and the innocence in which she had taken the cloth.

To this day, I still get tears in my eyes when I think of how I reacted and still feel the pain of my actions. It was I who then sheepishly went to her and apologized for my actions. I display with great pride the cushion on my bed, and use it as a reminder that nothing in this world is greater than a child's love.

It is easy for us to tell our friends from our enemies.But can other animals do the same? Elephants can! They can use their sense of vision and smell to tell the difference between people who pose a threat and those who do not.

In Kenya, researchers found that elephants react differently to clothing worn by men of the Maasai and Kamba ethnic groups.Young Maasai men spear animals and thus pose a threat to elephants; Kamba men are mainly farmers and are not a danger to elephants.

In an experiment conducted by animal scientists, elephants were first presented with clean clothing or clothing that had been worn for five days by either a Maasai or a Kamba man.When the elephants detected the smell of clothing worn by a Maasai man, they moved away from the smell faster and took longer to relax than whe n they detected the smells of either clothing worn by Kamba men or clothin g that had not been worn at all.

Garment color also plays a role, though in a different way.In the same study, when the elephants saw red clothing not worn before, they reacted angrily, as red is typically worn by Maasai men.Rather than running away as they did with the smell, the elephants acted aggressively toward the red cl othing.

The researchers believe that the elephants’ emotional reactions are due to their different interpretations of the smells and the sights.Smelling a potential danger means that a threat is nearby and the best thing to do is run away and hide.Seeing a potential threat without its smell means that risk is low.Therefore, instead of showing fear and running away, the elephants express their anger and become aggressive.

国学经典诵读推荐篇目第一部分:概说 一、指导思想 党的十八大《国家“十二五”时期文化发展规划纲要》把传统文化的传承与保护放在了突出位置,核心价值向传统文化回归,在优秀的传统文化中寻找答案,而不能一味照搬西方文化理念。要把以“仁义礼智信”为核心的儒家思想精髓,以及一切有益于中华民族伟大复兴的中华传统文化传承下来,古为今用,当代核心价值应当大量地从中吸取养分,而不能将其妖魔化,甚至另起炉灶,事实证明那是行不通的。 为此,我们要结合德育大纲、中小学语文教学标准,结合“中国梦”和《公民道德建设纲要》,充分汲取传统教育中科学的方法,在我校系统、适量地开展“国学经典”诵读,使孩子们从小受到传统文化的熏陶渐染,在道德、文化的修养上达到一个全新的境界。 二、目的与意义: 1、培养孩子的读书兴趣,提升了语文能力。在吟诵表演中让中学生更加感受到祖国语言的博大精深。学生从中感受到历史、地理、天文、常识、艺术知识的丰富,激发学习、读书的兴趣,逐步使学生能出口成章、引经据典,提升学生的语文能力。 2、提高孩子的注意力、记忆力。让孩子记住中国传统文化中的一些经典,在其记忆力正在发展的时候加以训练,“不求甚解、但求熟背”,使学生的记忆力达到较高的顶峰,注意力更加集中,使学生终生受益。 3、了解中华传统文化经典,接受人文精神熏陶。中华国学经典即是中华文化中最优秀、最精华、最有价值的典范性著作。通过诵读活动帮助学生了解中华传统文化经典,接受传统文化和人文精神熏陶。长远地默默地变化其气质。 4.加强学生思想道德建设。通过“国学经典诵读”教育教给学生做人的道理,提高学生的自身修养;在学生心灵中不断地产生潜移默化的作用,渐渐地陶冶其性情,开启其智慧,让经典诵读为孩子的一生提供营养。 5.诵读的过程就是学生书面语建设的过程。传统经典,字字珠玑,金声玉振。我们应当让广大青少年在吟咏诵读中含英咀华、衔华佩实,使他们不再有灿烂的心声无以言表的尴尬,少一点粗俗的表白,多一点儒雅的谈吐;少一点词穷木讷,多一点含蓄幽默。在学习与生活中左右逢源、信手拈来、出口成章、下笔有神。 三、国学经典诵读的内容来源 (一)以儒家经典为核心的传统经典。 (二)优秀的古诗文 四、国学诵读经典的处理原则 在充分尊重原典的完整性的基础上,谨慎地弃除或改写经典中一些确实与

高中英语早读课教学案例 小课题《让高中英语早读课重新焕发生机的方法研究》 教学案例 张艳艳 案例: 某次考试结束后的一个早读,因为之前需要背诵的内容全部都已经背诵完毕。所以临时要求学生将本次考试标准答案中的范文背诵,因为是考试已经考过的作文题目,有些学生认为自己的作文成绩还可以,所以在大约离下课还有10分钟的时候就开始躁动不安。当天 下午课间操临时对范文进行突击检查,结果很是令人心寒,全班竟然只有2位同学背会,而其他同学只背会开头的两句话。案例分析: 从该案例分析来看,我认为目前的高中英语早读课至少存在以下几个方面的问题:首先是得不到学生的重视;其次学生只是疲惫的完成任务;并且他们对自己的估计和评价也十分不准确。我认为解决以上三个问题,、大致可以从以下三个方面做起: 一、目标明确,全员参与。每日每周的早读任务要具体化,有硬性规定的,人人都得落实的,也有可以自由选择的,最好由课代表前一天在黑板上写下第二天早读须完成的目标。 二、管理到位,及时检测。要分工明确,确保任务的具体落实。可把班上学生划分为几个小组,小组长负责督促检查;还需老师利用早读时间抽查,另外还要一个周或一个月以笔试的形式检测一次,以便掌握真实的情况,同时也帮助学生梳理知识的脉络。 三、形式多样,有趣才是大前提。早读要追求形式的多样性,如此才有活力,让学生在读书时保持一种亢奋状态,让早读课有了波澜,有了色彩,才可激发学生的兴趣,才能保证效果。可以先齐读几分钟,有利于营造读书氛围,再自由读,让学生各显身手,各展芳姿。适时来一次竞赛读,个人对个人、小组对小组、前排对后排、男生对女生,有竞争才有动力,学生为了荣誉而全情投入,有时根据 体裁特点如小说和戏剧可以分角色朗读,让学生感受人物形象把捉人物的内心世界。
