一、 状语从句的分类 概念：在复合句中，充当状语的从句就是状语从句。分为九大类： 1. 时间状语从句 Adverbial clause of time 2. 地点状语从句 Adverbial clause of place 3. 条件状语从句 Adverbial clause of condition 4. 原因状语从句 Adverbial clause of reason 5. 目的状语从句 Adverbial clause of purpose 6. 结果状语从句 Adverbial clause of result 7. 让步状语从句 Adverbial clause of concession 8. 比较状语从句 Adverbial clause of contrast 9. 方式状语从句 Adverbial clause of manner

二、 状语从句的引导词 1. 时间状语从句引导词  when/as（当…的时候）, while（当…的时候）, before（在…之前），after （在…之后）  since (自从…以来)  until/ till（直到…时候）； not...until （直到…时候才）  by the time (在…之前)

 once (一旦)  as soon as, immediately, directly, instantly, the moment, the minute, the second, the instant 一…就…  hardly…when/before; no sooner…than…; scarcely…when…刚/一…就…  the first time(第一次); the second time（第二次）； ..., the last time (最后一次)；  every time （每一次）, each time（每一次）, next time（下一次）；…

2. 地点状语从句  Where  Wherever

3. 条件状语从句  if，unless （ if not )；  when 在…的情况下  as long as…; so long as…只要  on (the) condition that…只要  only if 只要  If only 但愿；用虚拟语气  in case… 2

 Suppose/Supposing (that)  Providing/ Provided that… （可用虚拟语气）  Imagine that…  On the assumption that…  Given that…  祈使句/名词短语 (相当于if 条件状语从句), + and/or +…（相当于主句）

4. 原因状语从句  because/ as; in that  for 不能放句首  since/ now that 说话者双方都知道的原因  seeing that…; 鉴于；考虑到  considering that 考虑到；因为  when 虽然，然而，可是  for fear that…唯恐

5. 目的状语从句  … so that… (从句中要有情态动词can, could, may; might; will; would等)  … in order that… (从句中要有情态动词can, could, may; might; will; would等)

6. 结果状语从句  …so…that… 结果  …such…that… 结果  …, so that… 结果

7. 让步状语从句  although/ though ( as 的替换); while  even if; even though  whether…or…  no matter + wh-word (who, what, when, how, where…) （只引导状语从句）  wh-word+ ever (名词性、状语从句均可）  whereas/while 然而

8. 比较状语从句  as…as…  not so…as…  …the same …as…  The + 比较级…; the + 比较级…than…  …no less …than 同…一样  …no more …than… 同…不一样

9. 方式状语从句  as 按照  as if, as though

状语从句I、时间状语从句一、when，while和as1．When既可引导一个持续动作，也可引导一个短暂动作，可用于主句和从句动作同时发生或从句动作先于主句动作。

如：When I lived there, I used to go to the seashore on Sundays.我住在那里时，星期天常到海滨去。

When the film ended, the peop le went back. 电影一结束，看电影的人便回去了。

当when引导的时间状语从句为系表结构，而且其主语和主句的主语一致，其表语又是一个名词时，就可以用以as引出的省略句，来代替when引出的从句。

As a you man （=When he was a young man），he was fond of hunting。

他年轻时，喜欢打猎。

2．While引导的动作必须是持续的，侧重主句动作和从句动作相对比。

如：Please don’t talk so loud w hile others are working 别人在工作时，别高声谈话。

While I was wondering at this, our schoolmaster took his place. 正当我对此不解时，我们校长就座了。

3. as引导一个持续性动作，多用于主句和从句动作同时发生。

如：He hurried home, looking behind as he went. 他匆匆忙忙跑回去一边走一边回头望。

John sings as he works 约翰一边工作，一边唱歌。

4. when还可用作并列连词，其意义为“那时，这时”，相当于at this/ that time. 常用于下列句式：Somebody was doing something when…Somebody was about to/ going to do something when…Somebody had just done something when….如：We were having a meeting when someone broke inWe were about to set off on our way, when it suddenly began to rain.此外When还表示原因“既然”。

第四讲状语从句一、明备考方向二、攻重点难点(一)引导时间状语从句的从属连词及重点句式1．引导时间状语从句的从属连词有：when, whenever, while, as, before, after, since, till/until, as soon as, no sooner ...than, hardly/scarcely ...when, immediately, instantly, the moment, every/each time等。

2．在掌握时间状语从句时，要注意以下几个重点句式：(1)not ...until ...“直到……才……”(2)It＋will be/was＋一段时间＋before ... “过……(时间)才……”(3)It＋is/has been＋一段时间＋since ... “自从……以来多长时间了”(4)It＋was＋not long before ...“不久……就……”(5)No sooner＋had＋主语＋过去分词 ...than ...(正常语序：主语＋had no sooner＋过去分词＋than ...) “一……就……”(6)Hardly/Scarcely＋had＋主语＋过去分词 ...when ... 2020年高三一轮复习英语语法专项讲解---状语从句考点①状语从句用作状语的从句叫状语从句，又由于其功能与副词非常相近，故又被称作副词性从句。

一般可分为时间状语从句、地点状语从句、原因状语从句、让步状语从句、比较状语从句、方式状语从句,时间状语从句1．when，while，as的用法一般情况下，若主句表示的是一个短暂性动作，从句是一个持续性动作，三者都可以用。

（1）when引导的时间状语从句中的谓语可以用非延续性动词，也可以用延续性动词；while从句中的谓语必须是延续性动词。

1)Were you writing when the teacher came in?2) When/While my mother was cleaning the room, I was washing my clothes.(2)when引导的从句的动作和主句的都能做可以是同时发生，也可以是从句动作先于主句的发生动作；while强调主句的动作发生在从句动作发生的过程中和主从句两个动作同时发生。

When the clock struck twelve, all the lights went out.While they were talking, the bell rang.（3）as引导的从句的动作与主句的动作交替进行或同时发生。

若从句动作的时间概念淡化而主要表示主句动作发生的背景或条件时，只能用as.1) The students took notes as they listened.2) The atmosphere gets thinner and thinner as the height increases.2．before的用法before引导时间状语从句时表示主句动作发生在从句动作之前，翻译时比较灵活，常译为“在…之前：不等…就；……“之后オ”。
