Lesson 2 Parties
一、 教学目标
学生掌握with复合结构中宾补构成及with复合结构用法。
学生通过观察与比较,体验英语学习乐趣。
二、 教学过程
With复合结构的构成和用法:
I. 构成:with+o+oc
(由n. adj. adv. prepositional phrase , doing, done, to do 构成)
•
He often sleeps with the windows open.
•
With the meal over, we all went home.
•
They set up a football team, with Tom their head.
•
She said goodbye with tears in her eyes.
•
With the machine helping us, we could finish the work on time. (主动)
•
With all the things bought, she went home happily. (被动)
•
I can’t go out, with these clothes to wash. (将来)
II.用法:
作定语
•
Mr. Li is an ordinary-looking man with thick glasses.
•
=Mr. Li is an ordinary-looking man who wears thick glasses.
•
The woman with a baby in her arms is Tom’s aunt.
•
= The woman who has a baby in her arms is Tom’s aunt.
作状语
•
With time permitting, we’ll visit the Summer Palace. (条件状语)
=If time permits, we’ll visit the Summer Palace.
•
With the test finished, we began our holiday. (时间状语)
=When the test was finished, we began our holiday.
•
With the key lost, she could not enter the room. (原因状语)
= Because the key had been lost, she could
not enter the room.
•
The soldiers marched forward, with guns on their shoulders. (伴随状语)
•
The battle ended with the enemy
