Unit 12 What’s this?

Teaching Aims:

知识与能力:

To learn new word and sentences: What’s this? It’s a/an….What’s in it? schoolbag

ruler eraser glue pencil-box.

To improve students’ listening, speaking and reading ability.

过程与方法:

It divides into four steps.

通过全身反应法、情景法、直观教学法、活动法、启发法、问答法进行新授。

情感态度与价值观:To enhance students’ interest of learning English.

教学重点:

To make students command the new word and sentences: what’s this? It’s a/an….

教学难点:

How to make students grasp and apply the new dialogues well in their practical life.

教法:

TPR、Motivate by interesting activities、直观教学法(PPT/cards)、scenery setting、问答法.

教学过程:

Step 1. Greetings.

T: Good morning, everyone.

How are you?

Nice to meet you.

Step 2. Warming up.

To sing a song, “what is this?” to activate students’ interest of learning English.

Step 3. To learn new words

Presentation: At first, I will ask some students to show the zoo picture make a

dialogue with me.

T: Look ! This is a Zoo. What’s in it?

Ss: A monkey cow duck hen pig mouse cat dog frog

Input: Show a bag that some things in it(ruler eraser glue pencil-box)

T: What’s this?

Ss: A schoolbag.

T: Yes. It’s a schoolbag. What’s in it? Guess.

Ss: A ruler/pencil…

T:OK,Let’s have a look.A ruler/glue/pencil-box/An eraser/apple is in it.

Board:a schoolbag/a pencil/a glue/a pencil-box/an eraser/an apple

Read after me and practice together. than, drill students group by group: I will divide

all students into 4 groups. Each group answer me

Output: Ask students to read these words through “train, train, train.”

Step 4 To learn the sentence, “What’s in it?”

Presentation: At first, I will put a ruler… in the cap. T:What’s in it?

Ss:It’s a/an…

Input: Ask them to read after me for some times

Drilling: Ask students to play a game, “ High and Low voice” to practice the sentence,

“What’s in it?”

Group drilling: Guessing game, I will ask a student every group put a thing in the

schoolbag.

S1: What’s in it?

Ss: It’s an/an…

( 答对的那一组加分)

Output: Ask students to read the dialogue through a game, “guess, guess, guess”.

Step 5 Chant

(分组改歌词)

请同学运用warming up 部分的what’s this?改歌词让后进行练习

Step 7 listening

First of all, I will ask students to listen and answer two questions, “What can you hear

in the test?

Then they should listen again and check the answers.

At last, I will ask them to open the books and turn to page 47.They should listen and

repeat. I will ask them to read after the tape once. Next, I will exchange the order to

read the dialogue again.

Step 8 Group Work

学生介绍自己的文具.

S1: What’s in it?

S2:It’s a ruler.

S1:No,What’s this?

B: It’s a pencil-box.
