Module 9 Friendship
Unit 2 I believe that the world is what you
think it is
一、教材简析
本模块以友谊为话题,探讨学生在友谊问题上的困惑及解决办法,让学生
意识到友谊的重要性,并积极探寻与友人相处的正确办法。Unit2 课文讲述了
一个甜美的微笑改变了作者的生活的感人故事,说明了友谊的重要性。并以此
为载体学习宾语从句和用阅读技巧来阅读和分析课文。
二、学情分析
1、友谊是青少年学生的重要组成部分,学生对此话题会充满兴趣。
2、学生能根据已有知识基础和微课视频材料预习,自学生词并对宾语从句在以
前的学习中有所感知,为话题作文写作作好了铺垫和准备。
三、教学目标
依据英语新课程标准对阅读课的要求,结合教材内容,考虑初二学生的已
有的知识水平和学习能力,本课的教学目标确定为:
知识目标:
1、掌握并能正确运用基本词汇:lonely,silence,bright, treasure, stick…to, trust,
include, circle, suggestion.
2、理解句型:
1).I didn’t know who she was.
2).I asked her why she smiled at me that day.
3).She said she could not remember.
能力目标:
1、能够理解时间的顺序和人物行为。
2、能够根据阅读技巧对文章进行阅读和分析,并依文章的结构自主作文。
情感策略目标:建立良好的友谊,学会宽容他人,理解他人。
四、教学重点: 掌握阅读技巧,分析文章结构,依结构自主作文。
教学难点:培养学生对故事顺序和人物观点的理解能力。

Step I
Warming up/Lead in

【教学策略】1.Topic talk
导入:Teacher: Do you have a friend ? What does a friend do ? Today we’ll learn a
story about a friend.

过渡语:What do you feel when your friends smile at you?
I will feel lively,happy and warm.
I feel the touch of something bright and friendly.

Pre-reading

【教学策略】2.展开话题,让学生轻松了解、理解生词。
Free talk (Brainstorm):
①What should a good friend be like?
I think that a good friend should be…
② What make people become friends?
And then students summarize the definition and
meaningful of friend and friendship together with the
teacher.
☆ 设计意图: 理解Friends & Friendship的真正涵义,明白Friends对生活和学习
的帮助和意义。
过渡语:The writer is so lucky, she has a friend,what happened to the friends?
Listen to the passage and then answer these questions.
Step III
While-reading

【教学策略】3、设计两遍读,第一读,听课文录音,把握课文大意;第二读,
依照阅读技巧Fast reading理解把握课文大意。
Task 1 Listen to the passage and then answer these simple questions.
☆设计意图:1、培养学生带任务阅读的习惯。
2、培养学生的阅读技巧。
过渡语:Why does the writer think the smile is an important gift ? How did it change
the writer? Please read the passage fast, finish the task2.
Task 2 Read the whole passage and choose the best answer.

☆设计意图:清晰展现文章结构,考查学生对故事顺序和人物观点的理解能力。

Post -reading

【教学策略】再次分细节阅读,运用阅读技巧Careful reading完成练习。
1) 培养学生细节阅读能力以及理解课文的能力。
2) 理解句子:

When I was thirteen years old, a girl gave me an important gift. It was a smile.

I was very lonely, and afraid to make friends with anyone.

I could not talk to anyone about my problem, and I did not want my parents to
worry about me.
☆设计意图 :理解课文和捕捉主题句。
过渡语:Let’s continue to read the beautiful story with the method of reading—
Careful reading and understand the story carefully.

【教学策略】运用阅读技巧对课文进行深度阅读并且回答下面的问题,掌握核心
词汇。
☆设计意图 深化学习文章内容和结构,为语言的输出做准备。
过渡语:How beautiful the story is! Let’s try to write our own story.
Step Ⅵ Writing
【教学策略】根据提示进行讨论,在什么时候、什么情况下,我们不开心,家长
也很生气,这时候,朋友是多么的重要,即可安慰自己,又可对自己有帮助,然
后进行写作,在班上分小组汇报,评价打分。
☆设计意图 :课堂的检测和语言的输出。

Summary

Teacher: What is the world ? It is what you think. So if you want to change the world,
change yourself first. A life without a friend is a life without a sun. Smile at the world ,
it will smile back.
