My Cruise Experience

I have never been to a cruise ship, but I hope I have the opportunity to go to a cruise with

my family or friends in the near future. I chose this course, because I am very interesting

about course industry. And as an international student from China, I think this is a very good

opportunity to learn this course. Because the cruise industry is growing very rapidly in China

now, although my specialty is the hotel industry, but to learn more about the cruise is a very

good thing for my career. I imagined a cruise ship like a moving resort, we can do anything in

the above ordinary life can do. I believe the room on cruise will make me exciting, because i

can see the beautiful sea and sunrise when i get up in the morning. when I heard something on

the cruise is the best food, the type is very diverse and can eat up. So after enjoyed the food ,

we can do some exercise, we can go to the gym or go to the swimming pool. I imagine the

cruise nightlife should be very rich, I sure they have pool parties, shows and the casino. We

can choose the type of cruise and destination, not only can have a great time on the cruise, you

can also go abroad for a short stay.

How did a transoceanic voyage differ from a modern cruise?

Explain why a seven-day cruise might also be viewed as either six, seven or eight days long?

Define: port day: usually the ship docks early in the morning and leaves in the evening, passengers

have the option of going ashore (most do) or staying on the ship. During most itineraries, port

days far outnumber at-sea days.

At-sea day:(usually the ship docks early in the morning and leaves in the evening),

passengers have the option of going ashore (most do) or staying on the ship. During most

itineraries, port days far outnumber at-sea days.

port of call:any port (except its home port) being visited by a ship, especially to load or unload

cargo or passengers or to take on supplies.

circle or closed-loop itinerary: when an air itinerary features a return from a different city

than the one first flown to.

one-way itinerary:In other situations, the cruise might start at one port but finish at another.

A ship could leave Vancouver but finish its trip in Anchorage.
