这是对于洁净手术室概念内涵的界定，而对于洁净手术室概念的外延界定，还可从以下三方面理解。

2、净化空调系统中所使用的末级过滤器，不允许用木制品，成品不应有刺激性气味，且送风末级净化设施不宜选用静电空气净化装置。
3、洁净手术部必须设有氧气、压缩空气和负压吸引三种气源和装置。
4、为达到更强的抢救能力，手术室的形状宜在接近正方形的长方形基础上切去四个墙角把手术室做成八角形，建议一般手术室的内径至少要有7m～6m×6m～5m。
5、为了方便使用和满足功能，手术室的墙面设置有手术时所必需的设备和器具。
如：麻醉器械、监视仪器、特殊手术器械、电源插座、医疗气体终端、读片灯、器械柜、手术计时钟、保温库、保冷库等等。
