Sit!And we did not like it.Not one little bit.以上⽂字除了标注出来的粗体字以外，其余都是Sight Words！可见常见词的强⼤作⽤了吧若孩⼦在阅读中，可以快速认出这些字，除了让阅读更顺畅，理解更完整外，孩⼦亦不会因为有太多⽣字⽽放弃阅读以下⽂章是⼀个外国⼈⾃⼰写的，将美国学者Dolch列出的220个常见词全部编写在了⼀篇⽂章⾥，并且更厉害的是，他按照Dolch的分类将220个常见词⽤不同颜⾊标注了出来，（sight word分为6个序列：Pre-primer级40单词黄⾊；primer级52个单词天蓝⾊；1st Grade级41个单词灰⾊；2nd Grade级46个单词绿⾊；3rd Grade级41个单词紫红⾊）如果孩⼦能熟练朗读这个600多词的故事，代表已经熟练掌握sight words单词表。

Sight Words, 顾名思义，就是一入视觉就立即反应的词汇。

任何语言都有高频词，英语也一样。

过去我们的英语教学中一直注意的是有实体意义的词，对高频词不重视--这从现行小学英语教材高频词的比重就能看得出来。

因为高频词占一篇文章一半以上，这些词不熟悉，阅读自然会觉得为难。

这些词在书面语言中频繁出现，有统计说超过50%。

也就是说，当孩子阅读一本书的时候，如果解决了这220个高频词，就有一半的词认识了。

一本书认识一半，剩下的phonics 再解决其中的80%，那对阅读的畏惧感无疑会大大减少。

在1948年，Edward William Dolch博士通过分析当时的儿童读物，整理出了220个词。
