1. Till, raising my cup, I asked the bright moon,
To bring me my shadow and make us three. (举杯邀明月,对影成三人)
2. You have left me behind, old friend, at the Yellow Crane Terrace,
On your way to visit Yangzhou in the misty month of flowers (故人西
辞黄鹤楼,烟花三月下扬州)
3. With monkeys’ sad adieus the riverbanks are loud,
My skiff has left ten thousand mountains far away. (两岸猿声啼不住,轻
舟已过万重山)
4. I must ascend the mountain’s crest,
It dwarfs all peaks under my feet. (会当凌绝顶,一览众山小)
6.See how lovely looks in bright mirrors in high chambers,
Though silken-blacken at morning, have changed by night to snow.(君不
见高堂明镜悲白发,朝如青丝暮成雪)
7. The silkworm’s silk is exhausted only when its life is spent,
The candle’s tears are dried, when itself to cinder’s burnt.(春蚕到死丝方
尽, 蜡炬成灰泪始干)
8. A morning rain has settled the dust in Wei-cheng,
Willows are green again in the tavern dooryard. (渭城朝雨浥轻尘给,客
舍青青柳色新)
9. Where can a wine shop be found to drown his sad hours?
A cowherd points to a cot amidst apricot flowers.(借问酒家何处有,牧
童遥指杏花村)
10. Where are the greatest men of the past,
And where are those of future years?
The sky and earth forever last;
Here and now I alone shed tears.(前不见古人,后不见来者;念天地之
悠悠,独怆然而涕下)
