Unit 10 Money教材分析I．教学内容分析本单元的中心话题就是“金钱”，该单元几乎所有的内容都是围绕这一中心话题展开的。
让学生对于日常生活中金钱有个正确的态度和初步了解到生活中最重要的东西不是金钱。
通过课文见解一方面引导学生对“金钱”概念进行思索；另一方面让学生知道对于金钱要有正确的消费观念。
了解并谈论如何采购，讨价还价，买卖商品。
了解广告功用及广告信息。
II．教学重点和难点1. 教学重点(1) 本单元的生词和短语；(2)形式主语的不同用法；(3)对于个人的观点、态度的一些表达方式。
2. 教学难点(1)学会怎样描述商品，怎样向别人推销商品；(2)了解金钱的真正含义以及正确使用金钱的重要性；(3)怎样设计商品的销售广告。

To arouse Ss’ interest in thinking what is important to them.2. To develop Ss’ ability to speak out opinions on a certain topic with the help of the given information.Teaching Procedures:Step 1. Leading-inPurpose: To activate Ss and arouse them to speak out opinions about what is important to them Step 2. Warming upPurpose: To lead Ss to the topic of this unit through a quiz.1.Pair work: Get Ss to ask each other the question----Any sayings in Chinese that refer to money?, then ask them to present it before the class.(1) The love of money is the root of all evil.(2). Money makes the world go around.(3)Look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.(4)Neither a borrower nor a lender be.2. Individual workGet Ss to open their books, turn to page 7 and Look at the EX1. to think ----.What is important to you ?3. Debate in groups:(1) Can you add anything else which is important for you to the list?(2) Which is the most important thing for the majority? determined :adj. 有决心的；意志坚定的，坚决的be determined to do sth. 决心做某事（表状态）我们已下定决心克服可能遇到的一切困难。
We are determined to overcome all the difficulties which may be met.determine:vt. decide firmly 决定fix precisely 确定determine to do sth. 下决心做某事（表示动作）determine on / upon sth.下决心做某事他决心为他的朋友洗清罪名。
He determined to prove his friend’s innocence.=He determined on proving his friend’s innocence.determination ：n. (U) firmness of purpose; resolution决心（做某事）；决意；坚决我们坚决实施这个计划。
We are to carry out the plan with determination.他是一个意志坚强的人。
He is a person of determination.(2) They spent half their time dreaming up ways of getting rich.他们花了一半时间在梦想致富的办法。
dream sth. up 想入非非dream sth. away 虚度（光阴）He dreamt his life away.他虚度一生。
dream of/ about sth./doing sth.梦见某事物/ 做某事；梦想，幻想某事物/ 做某事dreamer n.做梦的人；梦想家；白日做梦者Don’t be a dreamer. Do what you should do.别白日做梦了，该做什么就做什么吧。
dreamy adj.（指人）心不在焉的；不清楚的dreamily adv. 心不在焉地He walked across the road dreamily and was hit by a car.他过马路时心不在焉地，结果，被汽车撞到了。
(3) The rest of their time thinking about all the enjoyable things they would do once they got rich.另一半的时间则在琢磨他们一旦富裕起来后要做的事情。
The rest of ….其余的（当接可数名词做主语是，其后谓语用复数形式；当接不可数名词做主语时，其后谓语用单数形式）The rest of the water was polluted.其余的水已经被污染了。

(4) Some millionaires continue to be concerned about money when they become millionaires. 有些人成为百万富翁后仍然为钱而烦恼。
concerned adj. worried 担心的；烦恼的；忧虑的be concerned about/for sth./that….We are all concerned for /about his safety.我们都为他的安全担忧。
