Type A personality VS type B personality
Every person on this planet has a different and unique personality. However, each individual personality can be placed into one of two groups-- type A personality and type B personality. From primary school to university, there are undoubtedly high achievers and low achievers in class. With the increasing heavy parental and societal expectation toward students, greater praise and attention have been attached to students who are relatively more capable in terms of school work, resulting in strong admire and envy among strugglers toward higher ranked classmates. According to scientific literature, Type A characteristics make for super-achievers and high-powered people, while Type B characteristics make for people who are relaxed and have a laid-back attitude and posture. Do these two personalities necessarily have anything to with behaviors and if so, what are them? Is one type of personality better than the other? This essay intends to provide specific cases and data and analyze personal trait in depth.
Type A behavior is featured by an intense and sustained drive to achieve goals and an eagerness to compete. Personalities categorized as Type A tend to have a persistent desire for external recognition and advancement. They are involved in various functions that bring about time restrictions. Such personalities have a tendency to speed up mental and physical tasks
with extraordinary mental and physical alertness, which, to some extent, contribute to their success.
There exists some two type A's couples.Think Bill and Hillary, Elizabeth and Bob Dole, Brad and Angelina. Due to their traits, they admire each other's energy, achievement and prominence.
But there can be drawbacks. There can be too much competition, and they can both be so busy and so ambitious that they do not give enough time to the relationship and it can wither.
On the contrary, they are more successful as friends and team members, characterizing as accepting, patient, optimistic, and generally content. They show a general sense of harmony with people, events, and life circumstances. Though they might enjoy the triumph that others win, they have an accepting attitude about trivial mistakes and a problem-solving attitude about major mistakes. Therefore, Type B person is able to lead and be led.
In my view, it is biased to claim that one personality is better than the other. They are both valuable and admirable in different situations and diversified periods of people’s lives. I believe, it is the diversity that adds
spice to human life and it is meaningless to classify individuals according to the sort.。
