“Chinese Paper Art”是本单元第三课，是一节语言技能课。
本课话题是“中国的剪纸艺术”，从介绍剪纸艺术的历史和剪纸的三个用途来展开。
本单元的前两课分别学习了绘画和建筑这两个话题，通过听力训练和语言交际等活动让学生了解了著名画家、艺术家、建筑师以及不同的艺术、建筑风格，为本课讨论剪纸这种民间艺术做了一定的铺垫。
剪纸作为一种民间艺术，学生对其并不陌生，但对剪纸的历史和多种用途未必了解，因此可用对剪纸的常识设问引出本课话题。
