A man hated his wife’s cat very much and decided to get rid（摆脱）of the cat one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park.
As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway.

On a cold night in New York, a policeman was on duty along a quiet street. Then he came upon a man outside a restaurant. Before he could say a word, the man started talking.
“It’s all right, officer,” the man said. “I’m just waiting for a friend. We made a date to meet here.” He explained that they had dinner at this restaurant exactly 20 years ago. The policeman replied that the restaurant had closed down five years ago.
Then, the man lit his cigar（雪茄）. The officer could see he had a little white scar（伤疤）near his right eye. The man went on to talk about his friend Jimmy. After their dinner, they didn’t see each other and agreed to meet at the same restaurant on this very night.
