Unit5 SectionB知识讲解1. joke n. 笑话；玩笑。

tell jokes/ a joke 讲笑话play a joke on sb 开某人的玩笑2. meaningless adj. 毫无意义的。

是由名词＂meaning(意思，含义)+后缀less＂构成。

less常用来构成形容词，表示＂无……的,不能……＂。

其反义词是meaningful＂意味深长的，有意义的＂。

3. in the 1930s 在20世纪30年代in ＋the＋基数词＋（’）s为年代表达方式。

前两个数字代表世纪，后两个数字代表年代。

注意，要在表示世纪的数字上加1才是正确的世纪。

4.might modal v.可能；可以might情态动词，意为＂可能＂。

没有人称的变化，与动词原形一起构成谓语。

might 表示对事物作不太肯定的推测，与may用法一样，只是might比may的语气更弱，表示的可能性更小。

5. reason n. 原因；理由the reason for sth/doing sth/to do sth某事/做某事的原因6. However, he was always ready to try his best. 然而，他总是愿意尽他最大的努力。

（1）此句中的always表示一种长期的行为，和形容词ready连用，构成短语be always ready to do sth＂总是愿意做某事；随时随地可以从事某事＂。

（2）be ready to do sth有两种含义，一种是＂乐意做某事＂，另一种是＂准备去做某事＂，后者相当于get ready to do sth。

7. dress up 装扮，乔装打扮dress up常与as/like连用，后接表示＂人＂的词，意为＂打扮成……＂。

Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show ?Section B (1a-1d)教学反思我讲的这节课是八年级英语上册第五单元Section B部分的第一课时，由于本节课的教学内容和A部分第一课时的内容基本一样，只是增加了电影，形容词，所以我在教学设计时，把教学重点放在了电影类型和形容词上。

本节课各环节齐全，有复习，课堂有导入，有新授课口语练习，有小组对话练习，一节课练习了学生的听、说、读、写能力。

有许多亮点：1.课堂以学生感兴趣的图片及视频动画来复习并引导出本节课的主题，很好的激发了学生的学习积极性和学习兴趣。

2..利用学生操作一体机来调动他们回答问题的积极性和课堂参与度。

3..将句型练习和口语练习相结合，组成小组与小组之间的口语和句型练习，培养学生竞争意识。

4..教学中充分利用思维导图来开展教学，使教学内容更直观，系统使学生更容易接受并且印象深刻。

本节课教学流程非常顺畅，教学环节紧凑，本节课上，老师很好的贯彻在用中学，学中用，学用结合，学以致用的原则，同时教学中体现以学生为主体，教师为主导的新课程理念。

教学效果较好。

首先，教师教学方法灵活，利用单词卡片，多媒体，对话，复述来教学。

其次，复习扎实，如同新授课课一样扎实，复习效果好。

再次，多媒体中关于电视节目的图面设计能抓住学生的心里，学生熟悉，回答问题积极踊跃。

第三，让学生站在讲台上展示对话，锻炼学生的展示能力和胆量。

第四，教师给出短文让学生进行模仿造句，示范较好，学生能明确如何做，同时帮助学生模仿运用知识。

有以下几个方面的不足：一．学生是来自农村的寄宿制学生，英语基础薄弱，学生比较腼腆害羞，表现欲望和自信心稍差些，而本节课有设计了较多的口语练习及综合能力的运用，这对他们是个挑战，学生表现的不够积极勇敢。

二.对后进生的学习没有提出具体的学习方法，没有帮助后进生解决不懂知识的方法，对后进生的帮助不足，关注不足。

因此，针对以上问题，从以下方面进行改进。
