Step 1: Lead in and arouse interest.
1.Sing an English song “Last weekend”.
Students sing and dance with the music.
[Purpose] Forming a better learning atmosphere and previewing
phrases and sentences which had learned in Unit2.
2.Play games: I say, you say. I say, you do.
The teacher says the phrases, students say them in past tense. The
teacher says the phrases, students do the actions.
[Purpose] Practicing students’ comprehensive abilities and
previewing the language.
3.Ask and answer, then lead in.
The teacher asks, students answer one by one. Then shows the
picture of John and leads in the new class.
[Purpose] Consolidating the language and leading in the new class.

Showing the similar words, asking students to try to spell and read in groups.

leaders read, the others judge.
[Purpose] Practicing students’ listening and communicating skills.

Making sentences in two and reporting.

1.Point and read.
The teacher points, students read quickly. Or ask one to point, the others read.
[Purpose] Consolidating the phrases in games.
2.Pass the box, choose and answer.
One student beat, the others pass the box, the one gets the box when stop beating, choosing and answering the question “Where did you go..? What did you do there?”
[Purpose] Learning in games and practicing the sentences.
3.Listen, answer and write.
Listening to the record twice and writing the answers. Then checking the answers together.
